Everyone has gone all meshuggah.
They should be digging shelters, not driving up stocks.

I don’t get it. Obamanation has given Iran permission to make Israel a radioactive hole in the ground, and ISRAELI stocks go up? Are these people crazy?

Presuming the story is factual (a big if considering it’s from a commie source, Slate), it might be due to defense industry stocks rising. If Israel is building up its arsenal in reaction to a nuclear Iran, there’s a lot of money to be made by the savvy investor.

I imagine their defense industry is causing stocks to rally.

Yiippee!! Now we need a picture of my cousin BagdadBob telling us all is right with the world and Iran will not makes nukes. He double guarantees it.
To: Oldeconomybuyer
That guy’s statement seems contradictory, doesn’t it? He says the market’s driven by “what’s happening in the world”, but “Iran is not a factor”. As if the Iran issue weren’t part of “what’s happening in the world”
And if the Israeli markets aren’t spooked by the Iran deal, by definition that means Israel’s financial gurus don’t buy Netanyahu’s alarmism.

Was thinking that same thing...defense industry stocks.

Netanyahus alarmism. What!?!? Bibi Netanyahu is a man of God and a true Patriot. He's by no means an alarmist and here's the proof:

Poor, pitiful schmucks.
Alan Greenspan, one of the greatest shmucks in his right, would be proud.
Irrational exuberance, indeed.Nu, I should worry?? The Iranians say they want nukes for electricity only. Who am I to deny them?? And waiter, an extra shmear on my bagel.....

Crazy since the “agreement “ does nothing to stop Iran's nuke bomb factories and ICBM s. But the Israeli economy is itself pretty hot due to its many successful scientific and technical and medical health companies. There is no apparent connection whatsoever with the agreement. Israelis have just learned to take these very negative political things with the proverbial grain of salt is all. They know they can turn Iran or any other enemy into a parking lot with a beautiful nighttime glow , anytime it were to become necessary, and meanwhile they try everything they can to prevent that from becoming necessary. Unfortunately, Obama keeps promoting and defending and now financing the islamoNazi empire that's sworn to destroy America, etc. so, yes, the agreement pushes the world another step towards Agamemnon. Very bad. Very dangerous. Pray for America.

Maybe they’re expecting “wartime boost.”
With what, maybe 4 nukes against Israel’s several hundred, Israel is probably mulling something like bettering its Iron Dome system, which would knock an Iranian nuke out of the sky. Kinetic anti missile missiles.
Now if Iran managed to smuggle one in on land or by water that would be a different story.
I say Jehovah is watching out for those Jews. God is not going to recall all those bibles to revise the story.

If you read the brief article, it’s obvious that this guy is a Democrat shill, whose purpose is the say that those evil Republicans who criticize Obama’s deal with Iran are wrong.
I just had a look at the chart for Israel’s stock market today, however, and I don’t see any signs of a notable rise. Sure, it’s up a little bit, 0.62%, but nothing out of the ordinary.

I’d say this is just a bit of leftist propaganda, not a real news item.

A missile defense system like iron dome is necessary but insufficient Prudence dictates a forward defense policy lest you appear as a sitting duck in a shooting gallery. Russia has zillions of valuable natural resources under its control but nobody attacks her They realize they'll be wiped out if they try. Although somewhat irreverent perhaps , the old adage is true , “ praise The Lord and now pass the ammunition. “. You have to be ready to defend yourself ( and you have to make this crystal clear to all comers) if you want to be able to live in peace.
A purely pacifist policy or appearance is an open invitation to war.
