Police have been investigating reports of a frightening new fad in Brooklyn recently a "game" called knockout in which a group of people find and assault unsuspecting Jews.
The crimes can carry charges more serious than assault. Amrit Marajh, 28, was charged with a hate crime on Sunday for allegedly punching a 24-year-old Orthodox Jewish man Friday morning, ABC News reports.
The victim reportedly told police that he heard his attackers daring each other to punch him and talking about the knockout game, according to ABC.
The "game" is very dangerous and violent and involves attempting to knock a person out with a single punch.
Several attacks have taken place in Brooklyn since September, NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly told CBS News. One surveillance tape shows a 19-year-old Jewish man thrown to the ground after a group of teenagers hit him.
NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the attacks. Police are also stepping up patrols in areas where attacks have been reported, according to ABC.
The trend isn't exclusive to Brooklyn, and cases have been reported in at least six states. Three people have died so far in attacks linked to the "game."

So are the Hindus particularly anti-Semitic?? I just tend to think it is a little too convenient to be in a part of town that has a lot of Jewish folks in it and you decide to clock one (one that looks Orthodox at that)
My point was that you can’t just brandish your weapon to wave them off and you can’t shoot them after you wake-up as tempting as that might be.
I would say down to every man who concealed carries is looking around for potential situations/threats, and ways to avoid them. The guy in Philly simply was not looking at the threat walking towards him, never gave them enough berth to secure his safety and got cold cocked and dropped.
I would think that the time has come to start dealing with these punks in ways that the criminal just-us system will not. They just disappear into the ether.
The problem is that the neighborhoods frequented by this vermin have the most surveillance cameras and you or I would be easily picked out as interlopers by the authorities.
Right? Can you imagine? “A mass pit was dug Friday for the victims of the latest knock out game craze that is sweeping Serbia” or maybe “residents of London cowered in their basements for the second night of aerial dropping of explosives games”...
Got some good ideas there, but then dash em with pessimism.
Of course you can brandish in the face of a threat, the law does not say “you pull it, you have to use it”. Who’s gonna report you for brandishing? The perps?
Just like carjacking, after a few of these ferals get ventilated, they’ll all think twice.
I don't think so.
I think this guy in particular thinks he is a tough Brooklyn street gangster and set out to prove it.
It isn’t like I haven’t been considering my options, as a CCW holder, and occasional carrier.
I find that I don’t carry as often as I do or should, just for the simple fact that I don’t visit the Mogadishu areas of my town... ever. I am also not interested in being the next George Zimmerman. Because the media and Obastard/Holder and the Just-Us Dept. would have a field day with me and my family.
It’s not the would-be perps/corpses who would have me charged for brandishing, but that gun-hating libtard nearby.
I can hear it all now: “That’s him officer, he was waving his weapon around and scared those Son’s of Baraq. He’s a dangerous racist”.
As tempted as I am to start up a posse to take care of “the business that has gone unattended for too long”, I know that the Mogadishu sections of my town have more cameras in more places than you can possibly imagine.
ah the old trying to fit in routine .
Hey Officer Krupke Krup you
Lucky for some of us to live un-near where libtards feel empowered to cry about a gun.
To some degree we make our luck with the Mogadishu areas of our towns feeling feral enough to think they will get away with aggression outside their own jungle culture.
