I doubt Boeing is impressed with Seattle’s newly elected Socialist councilwoman Kshama Sawant, hope they sent a copy of the RFP to her.

How many potential sites are even possible in this country to build something like that? Are there even 15?

C'mon, guys . . . if we only raise taxes on ourselves high enough, these jobs will stay right in Seattle.

I think there may be about 15 sites in the whole country with the infrastructure and space to be a good place to build it without building up a whole new infrastructure around it.

A good choice would actually be Roswell, New Mexico. Its airport has the longest civilian runway in America, due to being a former Air Force base. It has a lot of aircraft workers for its size, due to a lot of aircraft maintenance going on there as well. Plenty of space available right at the airport or just outside.

This would be a good opportunity for Rick Perry to pipe up about Texas!

I was thinking the same thing. Hope that they are getting ready to announce their departure from the area. And that they are able to identify any of their “soon to be former employees” to give them a personal thanks and also, a good luck on the unemployment line.

Independent of other issues such as scum unions...building in ANOTHER state gives Boeing two new Senators and a congress critter that theoretically advocate for them. Of course California has Boxer/Feinstein so that’s a non-starter.

Will Obunga's Marxist laden Fed. Labor board be getting involved? I'm not sure about the criteria is for there involvement, but I'm sure they will pull a law out of thin air to try to put the clamps on the 777 being built outside of Seattle.

As a shareholder, I hope Boeing picks South Carolina. It would increase margins and profitability.

I don’t really see what the problem is for Seattle. Didn’t Kshama Sawant say she was going to steal that Boeing factory and “convert” it into making VCRs and lectric buses and rainbow generators and Unicorn horseshoes and other useful stuff not used for war?

Rockford, Illinois has a huge runway and I think there is plenty of empty dirt near it that would be a good place to put a facility. It’s in the Red part of a Blue voting state, but Boeing has been in Illinois long enough to realize that the corruption in the state would poison any potential benefit from building there.

Long Beach, Calif. [is] also on the list.

LOL.

It's nice to know that Boeing has a sense of humor.

Confidential to Long Beach (or anywhere in the once-Golden State.) One suspects that you are not actually on the list.

I’m pretty sure that Texas, Alabama, and South Carolina are going to be the “final three” come decision time.

Come on down, Boeing! We got a place... for ya near the Alamo!

As to San Antonio, Texas, my late father, back in the early 1950s was building hangers and paving enough runways down there to launch, as he liked to say, the whole damn Luftwaffe!

Remember, it was from Kelly Field in San Antonio, established after the United States entry in 1917 into World War I, that the US Air Force first began its march to greatness. Kelly Field was used as a flying field; primary flying school; school for adjutants, supply officers, engineers; mechanics school, and as an aviation general supply depot.

Of course, Congress, in it usual ineptitude, had Kelly Air Force Base closed... and its assets realigned by the 1995 Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) IV Commission.

The only worse places than california would be a foreign country, and I say that as a native californian. They set up here, and the liberal wankers will gleefully tax them into ruin and then pull a venezuela on them.

I hear Sherriff Arpaio would be a good one to get pointer to good places to set up.
