Heh heh...
A$$wipe interstate free trade is what it is all about. I have no clue what you are insinuating with your insipid post.
That’s what really hacks me off.
They (the state) offered Boeing 9 BILLION DOLLARS in tax incentives.
Now, they are talking about raising the gas tax so they can spend it on roads and infrastructure that helps Boeing.
Meanwhile, the machinists told Boeing to take a flying leap, after Boeing practically GUARANTEED them 8 more years of employment, what’s that, A QUARTER of the average persons employment lifetime?
Now, the machinists are crying in their beer about how unfair Boeing is...
They need to man the hell up. They tried to push Boeing around, and it said “No thanks!”
Would not surprise me one bit if in 20 years, there is no Boeing in Washington state.
WA GOP legislators are proposing a 11 cent hike to the gas tax for roadway improvements as part of the pay off to Boeing. The D's are only asking for a 10 cent hike.
WA state (already) has the highest gasoline taxes in the country, IIRC.
If the state of Washington raises taxes high enough, maybe Airbus will have to build in Seattle too!
Heh, good one. Of course, Washington could impose taxes on Boeing for each job it outsources. I saw that listed as a proposal here on FR yesterday to dig the US out of its economic hole.
Capital controls always work out so well, you know.
