On Thursday, a former U.S. Secret Service agent who is running for a House seat and has written a book about his life in the Service cancelled his prescheduled appearance on MSNBC's Bashir Live because of Martin Bashir's suggestion that someone should defecate and urinate in former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's mouth.
Dan Bongino, who was a Secret Service agent under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama, told Breitbart News that his appearance to speak on Bashir's program about his book, Life Inside the Bubble, "was booked in advance of his unfortunate comments," and he could not in good faith appear on the program.
"In light of these comments I felt it only appropriate to cancel my appearance on the show. Governor Palin took a principled chance on me during my U.S. Senate campaign when few would," Bongino told Breitbart News. "She put herself out there for me, risking her political capital, and chose to endorse me because she believed in me.
"In a political arena filled with bad actors it was refreshing to know that Governor Palin was willing to fight for the underdog. She deserves better than the treatment she received by Mr. Bashir and I cannot, in good faith, appear on the show, regardless of the number of books it may or may not sell."

We beat them on principle... Mr. Bongino Sir, you have my vote!
and yet the unprincipled dogs still beat us in elections.
Bongino has my vote also.
Do you think any MSNBC watcher in his district would vote for him?
good for him
bashir is depraved
Bravo to him!! Buy his book!
I love this man. Only candidate I’ve sent a contribution to so far. He’s running in Maryland’s 6th, a tough district that includes many government types.. He is principled, razor sharp and ready to serve. This is just one example. Watch some of his interviews, Dan is rally on the ball.
Not really relevant as a qualification for office...but to this red-blooded American woman, Dan is fit and has some of the best arms in the biz ;-).
MSNBC?
Never heard of it.
Those media people on television who are apologizing for President Obama and Obamacare, their ratings are falling at an astounding rate, OReilly said. Nobodys buying the apology and the BS and the spin anymore.
Krauthammer pointed out that its not only their ratings, its their reputation, to which OReilly said some of them never had a reputation and you know who Im talking about.
Some of them started out with one, Krauthammer replied, before adding a not-so-subtle reference to MSNBCs Chris Matthews. But then you know they got a lot of thrills up a lot of legs and its been a problem ever since.
When Bashir made that inconceivably vile remark, he was engaging in his version of media “knock out” game. He has the same mindset as those gutter rats.
Has everyone been calling MSNBC head Phil Griffin, 212/664-2456, to complain that Bashir needs to be fired?
Probably won’t happen. I believe bashir is in one of those “protected” classes of folks who just get moved to a different position while maintaining the same pay. If he gets moved at all. Good call on Dan’s part. Except for the “why would you ever go on any of these shows?”. Maybe with the hopes that you could sway some of the lib viewers (all 100 of them) to lean your way in the election? I guess it might be possible to swing 1% of them but the other 99% will still think you’re a racist tea party neanderthal and work against you.
Trust Bongino to do what’s right. If you’ve ever heard this guy on the radio, you recognize that he’s the real deal. He has the potential to be—well, all that we want or need or dream our political leaders might be.
I think ALL conservatives should refuse to appear on “liberal TV”...They should explain that they have better and more important things to take of than to attend to utterly biased and pre-planned setup questioning.....
“If youve ever heard this guy on the radio, you recognize that hes the real deal.”
I’ve seen and heard him on a couple of shows on FNC this past week - IIRC Hannity & Fox & Friends. I was impressed with him. If I lived in his district, I would definitely work and vote for him! His not going on Bashir’s show and standing up for Gov Palin, makes me even more impressed with him.

Good for him!
Amen...I’ll buy it too.
NBC/MSNBC will never fire Bashir cuz he’s black and that wouldn’t fit their views!
