Police investigating whether late night sucker punch on edge of Cornell campus was part of “knockout game.”
The so-called knockout game is receiving a lot of media attention.
It’s hard to know if it is escalating in frequency, or just getting more media coverage:

An incident on November 16, 2013 at the edge of the Cornell University campus in Ithaca, NY, appears to fit this pattern of an unprovoked, seemingly random sucker punch to the face of a stranger without any apparent robbery or other motive (emphasis added):
November 18, 2013 Assault reported on University Ave, near Lake St, 11/16/13 The Ithaca Police Department is investigating a reported assault that occurred on
University Ave., near Lake Street, around 3:11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013.
According to the male victim, he and a friend were walking on University Ave., near Lake Street, when they were approached by two males. The victim reports that the two males did not say anything, but one of the males punched the victim in the face with a closed fist causing pain and physical injury. The victim describes the perpetrators as a tall black male wearing dark clothing and a shorter Hispanic male also wearing dark clothing. The perpetrators then fled the area in a southerly direction on University Ave. The extent of the injury to the victim was not immediately apparent at the time of the incident and has been upgraded to an Assault.
A spokesman for the Ithaca Police Department indicated that the investigation has developed “no information to confirm or deny” whether the incident was part of a knockout game, and that they still were ”trying to develop” information as to motive. The police are using social media and confidential informants to determine motive, but have no evidence one way or the other so far.
As far as the officer was aware, there have been no prior knockout game incidents in Ithaca.

Big Media has made people believe this “game” is just a recent phenomenon. Actually, the staggering black violent crime wave has been going on for more than half a century. The knockout “game” is just a variation of the terrorist violence inflicted on whites by black males for decades. The media wants people to believe that somehow innocent black youths, who normally would be practicing the piano for their Juilliard auditions, just decided to attack random people for fun. Of course, most average people know the score. It’s the libs who refuse to see the elephant in the room.
Story on the news the other day, Yale police have issued a warning to the campus community about a rise in “assaults”, from the wording sounds like this kind of thing.
Not to worry. These are Holder’s people, seeking justice for Trayvon. And besides, opposition to ObamaCare™ is racist.
I worked with a gay guy who lived in Boston. He told me that he was walking through downtown Boston one day, when three, hooded, black youts approached him from the opposite direction.
He thought about crossing the street, but caught himself, thinking that running away would be racist.
You can guess the rest. He got mugged.

Nice. In my area your arsenal is fairly limited, but you can still put something together.

That’s funny; lesson learned. I worked with a black guy who had a T-shirt that said, “I don’t want your purse, white lady”. I asked him what that was about, and he said it was in response to hearing automatic car locks engage when he walked past white people in their cars.
Sad, but funny at the same time; those ladies aren’t fools...

I also have liberal in laws whose retirement condo is in Newtown, Connecticut. I get so annoyed when they act sooo progressive and liberal and yet go to mass every day. They only watch MSM and won’t change. Sheeple types.
I am sure they advocate gun control even though those kids in their own town were sitting ducks because of it. Stupid reasoning (or lack).
The last time they visited (we live two and half hours from them) I was saying how pleased I am that we have an SRO (police_ officer) stationed at our school at all times and the police car is parked prominently out front. We live a small outlying school district - not a big city where violence is expected. I said without someone armed in the school those students are sitting ducks (including our daughter, their grandaughter). They said nothing.
The best way to stop these games is if YOU are a witness to such a knockout, you should immediately pull your firearm and shoot the perp and maybe a few of his friends DEAD, DEAD, DEAD.
The time has come when people need to protect each other,even if you don’t know the victim.
I think we’re going to rapidly see this morph into rape gangs.

I teach at a community college near Yale and we just got an e-mail from campus security warning us about the knock out game in New Haven
Friend of friend had his arm broken in multiple places when he got knocked down while jogging in a New Haven city park.
I hope not but it is certainly possible.
