A teen playing the "Knockout Game" in Lansing, Michigan unwittingly targeted a concealed carry permit holder and was shot twice. He survived and is now in jail.

Too bad the victim didn’t aim better and save the taxpayers the cost of incarcerating this POS. Of course these street thugs can act with impunity in places like New York City or Washington DC where citizens have been disarmed.
My papered and pampered creds allow me a sidearm and a knife yet after retirement my ASP baton was not allowed in Texas. Replaced with a Surefire E2DL that given a choice I’d rather be knifed than worked over with that nifty little light with very very aggressive crenellated and scalloped ends that make it a pretty good phone booth fighter.
ASP is considered club so it’s been replaced with said surefire E2D “defender” light....:o)

The oligarchy here doesn't care. Downtown has become a no-go zone after dark (no pun intended), and people who aren't looking for drugs or a rough time roll up the windows and get through ASAP. The small town and farm types have turned to safer, smaller WalMarts and only come into the jungle when they have to. Meanwhile, the old and new money build bigger, better gated developments further out of harm's way and make sure their lickspittles get re-elected. (And their lickspittles DO get re-elected.)
As long as the "right people" are safe in their own orbits and government largesse/gaming money is available, they don't seem to give a rat's azz about the rot.

That would be very naive. Maybe because I grew up along the frontier of the Newark NJ welfare reservation (in an area peopled by those who fled Newark decades ago and their descendants), I can’t imagine feeling safe anywhere multiple welfare bastards could get to me before I could make a run for it.

Things are looking good. I watched a ton of Fox News last night and knockout game was discussed on all shows except (I think) the 6PM news

You have a point and a valid one. It’s just that I don’t want to kill some kids that might wake up one day and realize what idiots they’ve become and change their lives. Case in point, we recently had a black gangbanger walk into our church one night at 8:45 P who walked right up to our pastor (which gave him cause for concern; he does carry too) and asked him if could lead him to repentence. He confessed a lot of crimes that he’s done since being a youth as a gang member and he was saved. I believe God led him to our doorstep that night because the church was far removed from where he lived and off the beaten path.
Mu first reaction is to want to spray as well with the black “yutes” and I might have to one day but I don’t want to. I attribute their lifestyle to bad parenting and their culture. If the black population truly wants “real” respect they’re going to have to address that problem and fix it.

You look at it, you listen to it, and the disgust just overwhelms any feelings of compassion you think you had for the lost, and you find yourself saying that the punishment isn’t enough...this is still a struggle point for many Christians as we take in the hideous and mounting violent crimes that are being committed in our nation.
Yet we are told to love our ememies and pray for those who persecute us by the Master Himself, who set the example.
God help us believers to seek His kingdom and His righteousness foremost in our lives, for our reward in heaven is great, and heaven is our true home.
