RUSH: Jesse, somewhere in Texas. I have one minute, but I wanted to get to you. Hi.
CALLER: Hi, Rush. Mega Air Force brat dittos.
RUSH: Thank you.
CALLER: I wanted to call and let you know that I'm working in health care. I'm actually a comptroller for a hospital, but I'd heard rumors this was happening. My wife last week had a family doctor appointment with an OBGYN, and one or two of the mandatory questions she was asked is, "Do you own a gun in your house, and do you keep it loaded in your house?" They would not register her as a patient until she answered that question.
RUSH: Now, you had heard that was coming, but you didn't know it was real until yesterday?
CALLER: Well, 'til last week when my wife had that appointment.
RUSH: Last week.
CALLER: She came home and I was shocked.
RUSH: You were shocked, even though you had heard about it before?
CALLER: I heard rumors, but I was like, "There's no way a health care provider is going to ask that kind of question."
RUSH: Unless they are mandated to by the federal government.
CALLER: Well, and I figure it's part of Obamacare, but just the sheer fact that they asked the question and they wouldn't even let her register as a patient until she answered the question blew my mind.
RUSH: Right. Well, that's the tip of the iceberg of the things that they're gonna know about everybody who signs up.

NO, that’ an expression of disappointment, not a personal attack.
Alaska Wolf: Reacting to a general comment, fairly tepid, of another posters open disdain for your posted opinions.
You consider that a “personal attack” ?
hmmmm.
Are you hopelessly lost in the Internet?
Or is even asking you that, also a personal attack in your considered opinion?
My Dr loves to hunt. Find a doctor who is a gun guy or gal and hang onto them.
You’re right. My oldest brother is a gun guy who is a doctor.
No, I actually read and comprehend what is posted. Do you?

Linking to other, unrelated threads while “debating” a topic is also considered rude, and hence, against the rules.
(Surely you didn't expect me to comb through two 100+ posts threads to determine which one of you is more stupid?)
You haven't been zotted yet?
Both are related. Both contain vulgar, profane attacks. If you want facts, you'll find them. If you don't you won't.
I don't stalk either of you
Who accused you of "stalking"?
OR, (questioner) “Sir, do you own a gun?” (my answer) “No, I don`t own a gun, but I do keep it loaded.”
“No. It’s right here. Now sew up my arm, please. “
I wouldn’t have any trouble answering it: “That’s none of your damned business. I want to see another doctor.”
With that in mind, if one line in the 2000+ pages and associated regulations of indeterminate volume criminalizes giving false information, you will have handed them the stick to beat you with.
"Irrelevant question", and refuse to answer ( a refusal is not a denial, and you can refuse to confirm or deny that there are firearms in your household. The 5th is alive and well, even if owning a firearm is not generally a crime, under the new rules--are they even done writing them yet?--it might be.)
What concerns me is that the same classes of drugs used to treat depression are being used as painkillers, and that working the problem backwards, the Government might decide anyone who had been prescribed those drugs (even if just for pain) had a mental health issue and declare them as ineligible to exercise their RKBA.
Which is why I stick to aspirin, tylenol, or advil on the rare occasions I take a painkiller.
Thou shall not call anything with a bore size less than 105 mm a “gun”.
By that rule, I do not have any guns.
My response exactly. But keep in mind the questions about organizations that you belong to, activities, etc. and don’t include the gun club, NRA membership, etc.
“dont include the gun club, NRA membership, etc.”
A pussyfooting Texan, Well, I swan, live and breathe ...
My doctor is a female Muslim. If she asks me that question, see above #69.
But I’ve seen her a couple times since the act took effect, and nothing like that, yet.
To expand on 69, however, if she does ask what organizations I belong to I may say, the “American Nazi party”, “Knights of the Ku Klux Klan” and the Environmental Liberation Front, and she’ll just laugh.
You’re a Texan. Show some balls for Christ’s sake.
“Of course not - guns are scary and evil.”
That is my answer as well. It is also my cue to act like a squishy liberal. It is time to lie, lie, lie. Remember at that point you are dealing with a government agent pushing the leftard agenda, also known as the enemy. We are now living in East Germany.
I would never own one of those thing...theyre dangerous!....
Make sure you sound like Mister New Castrati when yoy say that!
Thanks for the ping!
I cannot tell a lie. I do not own a single gun :)
Freep-mail me to get on or off my pro-life and Catholic List:
Please ping me to note-worthy Pro-Life or Catholic threads, or other threads of general interest.
I’ve been asked at the ER, Do you feel safe at home.
Yup I feel safe, I guard it well... :-)
Though seriously a gospel answer would be “I feel safe wherever I go because God is with me.”
