RUSH: Jesse, somewhere in Texas. I have one minute, but I wanted to get to you. Hi.
CALLER: Hi, Rush. Mega Air Force brat dittos.
RUSH: Thank you.
CALLER: I wanted to call and let you know that I'm working in health care. I'm actually a comptroller for a hospital, but I'd heard rumors this was happening. My wife last week had a family doctor appointment with an OBGYN, and one or two of the mandatory questions she was asked is, "Do you own a gun in your house, and do you keep it loaded in your house?" They would not register her as a patient until she answered that question.
RUSH: Now, you had heard that was coming, but you didn't know it was real until yesterday?
CALLER: Well, 'til last week when my wife had that appointment.
RUSH: Last week.
CALLER: She came home and I was shocked.
RUSH: You were shocked, even though you had heard about it before?
CALLER: I heard rumors, but I was like, "There's no way a health care provider is going to ask that kind of question."
RUSH: Unless they are mandated to by the federal government.
CALLER: Well, and I figure it's part of Obamacare, but just the sheer fact that they asked the question and they wouldn't even let her register as a patient until she answered the question blew my mind.
RUSH: Right. Well, that's the tip of the iceberg of the things that they're gonna know about everybody who signs up.

Resistance people; it’s time for REAL resistance.
BTW, my doctor reloads his own ammo, and we shoot together. His wife is a darn good shot with a 9mm and a 40 caliber.
Don’t know how much longer he is going to last in the medical profession. ObamaCare is already killing his practice & working on bankrupting him.
That question has been asked for 10 years -15 years already here in northern CA. I never answered it honestly because I knew why it was being asked. But I wonder, if I lie about it now, am I breaking any law because I’m lying to the government....it’s rhetorical really cuz I don’t give a s#|t!
You should see the look I give them when they ask this assinine question.
Precisely.
I don’t like guns.
Really, I don’t.
Which has no bearing on whether I think anyone ELSE can own one. I’m just not a fool about them personally.
Air-soft guns?
Rubber-band finger guns?
Yes it does, what part of my post was racism, personal or violence?
This; "Thought you got zotted, sorry to see you back."
Plausible deniability
I hearby swear to you Mr./Mrs. Doctor that I do not own “A” gun. That’s the truth and I’m sticking to it.
I don’t like bodies of water either.
And when the MD submits that answer to ObamaCare and it is cross-checked with state licensing data, what will you tell the DCF when they come to take your children away?
Mine, too.
Just cut to the chase and tell them what they really want to know:
“I can assure you that I am not harboring any Jews in my home.”
Not only do I not have any guns, I eat arugula daily, never drink alcohol or caffeine, run 10 miles every day, and meditate to bring my blood pressure down.
Yes it is astounding doc!
Just ignore idiot jerks.
No I don’t own guns, I don’t smoke, I don’t own a pool, I don’t skydive, and I only eat vegetables. Big brother is looking for a reason to raise your rates or deny you care.
“if I lie about it now, am I breaking any law because Im lying to the government”
Same question I have been pondering.
Maybe it makes me a felon?
First off, there is no "state licensing" in my state and second off I will tell them to be very careful because my two adult children are trained martial artists and may prove quite difficult to take away.
It’s a bull$h!t question, so give ‘em a BS answer, e.g.,
“What? Guns in the house? Heck no. Not in MY house!”
You’re absolutely right, it’s none of their business, so don’t play into their hands and raise red flags. Lie to ‘em!
IMHO.
