The real issue here is Walker would be a far more formidable opponent in 2016 than Christie. The prod for this could come from outside of Wisconsin.

Isn’t Walker pro-amnesty?

Because that is a deal killer.

Yes and no. The unions have picked Wisconsin as the hill to die on. The stuff that happened in 2011-2012 did not need direction from D.C., and Walker was already subjected to another subpoena where he was the GOOD guy (discovered $40K missing from a veteran's fund). For months he was dragged in for testimony, and lies were leaked about an indictment. In the end, it all came down to one of his employees in his old office had spent government time aiding a Lt. Gov. candidate when Walker wasn't even on that ticket. It is Alice in Wonderland in Madison and in Milwaukee's city government.

Good thought. It does have the look and feel of a White Hut political "black-operation."

As a presidential candidate, IMO Walker would be much more likely to carry Wisconsin than Christie would New Jersey. Both are bad news for Democrats though from an electoral college perspective.

“The prod for this could come from outside of Wisconsin.”

Good point. Wisconsinites DID NOT want Tammy Baldwin as our CongressLesbian, either. She was groomed, bought and paid for with out of state money!

Now, she’s our flippin’ SENATOR!

It’s amazing to me that more people don’t see state and national politics for what it truly is, A Game of Thrones!

*SHUDDER*

Wouldn’t surprise me...we just saw a variation of these tactics here in Virginia. The “scandal” involving Governor Bob McDonnell and the gifts he accepted was used to tar him and Ken Cuccinelli. So far, no one has been able to demonstrate that McDonnell was guilty of anything except poor judgment. But the controversy was enough to keep him off the campaign trail and eliminate him as a challenger to Senator Mark Warner in 2014.

As I’ve said before, the seminal scandal of the Clinton years wasn’t Monica Lewinsky, Vince Foster, or Chinese money in his re-election campaign; it was FileGate. Within days of taking office, Clinton’s operatives obtained FBI background files on more than 900 Republicans. It shows the lengths the Dims will go to in attacking, smearing and discrediting anyone who poses a potential electoral threat.

I’m sure the Democratic op-research folks are looking for anything they can find on Ted Cruz and Rand Paul as well...
