Is this still the United States Of America or what? His lawyer said he will endure hardships such as not being able to drink alcohol at parties or cross state lines to buy lottery tickets, the attorney explained. The Judge thinks rapists are non-violent offenders.

The MF judge ought to be easy to find.

Save your outrage for the 45 year old “teachers” preying on 14 year old boys in our schools.

I am not excusing Clems actions, but I guarantee this was mutual.

High school girls have always dated college guys.

“This isn’t legal. It’s not a legal sentence,’ Ms Andrews, now 20,”

Clems is 24.

This is he said she said.

Austin Clem, 25, raped the young girl three times between the ages of 14 and 18-years-old

The sentence is BS....but, this guy raped her three times over four years...four years ?

What happened the first and second time her raped her ?

Someone is fishy about this story...

She also fears for the perverts young children. ‘The judge still chooses to send him home to his three little girls,’ said Ms Andrews. ‘I don't understand that. I can't fathom that.’

This gal is Effed up.

So according to her, since she gave it up when they were young, Clem is a pedophile and Now she says he is incestuous as well?

BAH!!

This jerk will most likely offend again. He is a dirt bag that one day will encounter a woman with a gun and his life will change

Sounds like statutory rape, and the last occasion, when she was 18, buyer’s remorse. A 19 year old man (his age when she was 14) shouldn’t have relations with a 14 year old girl, agreed. I just didn’t see any evidence of forcible rape. It appears that since there were only three occasions that he hardly stalked her. After the last encounter he may have told her that he wasn’t leaving his wife, and she got her dander up and used the rape card for vengeance.

A kinder gentler justice system, for the criminal of coarse. Where is punishment in the phrase crime and punishment? If the judges daughter or wife was raped we would see a different picture wouldn't we? hypocrite rat bastards who need thier judgeship limited or revoked

...but intended to keep non-violent offenders out of prison.

Huh!? Okay, there has to be a payoff somewhere.

Oh-kay. If someone in that state carries out some street justice, would a jury convict them? Since he is a registered sex offender, he should be easy to find, and with a minimum of fuss or evidence he could be dangling from a tree in short order.

All that would be needed is some rope that is several years old, with no remainder left behind, soaked in bleach solution to destroy any residual DNA, and afterwards to dispose of any old shoes and clothing worn. After soaking it, of course.

It would be a nice touch to hang a sign from his neck, which simply says “RAPIST” on it.

I remember as a 19 year-old being seduced by an over-sexed and well-developed 14 year-old who did everything but strip me. It took every ounce of willpower to push her away and pretend I wasn’t interested. I still think about that episode 45 years later and thank God I had the strength to resist her.

Putting the guy in jail means ruining his family while only helping the victim’s sense of revenge.

The proper sentence is for him to go to jail if he divorces from his family or he loses his job. And he needs to work (or go to jail) at least 14 days a year (two weeks vacation) with the proceeds going to the victim for the next 10 years.

Not a great result but the best for a bad situation.

This story is an over-exaggeration of the facts. He was 18 and she was 14 when they first had sex. And she comes forward at the age of 20 — 6 years later??? Why??? Is it because he married someone else???

The Judge thinks rapists are non-violent offenders.

The Judge need a clear understanding of what rape is.

Nothing like using the law to work towards lowering the age of consent in the state. Whether it was buyer's regret on her part for the last one - or him thinking with the wrong head in the first place - bad cases make for worst law. (See FL and the 18 year old lesbian with her 14 year old girlfriend)

I foresee that it'll get lowered shortly to 15 or so - and the ones who want the kids will fight to get it lowered again to 12 or 13.

It's all about the boys...
