Senate Democrats do not expect to vote on the ObamaCare fix the House approved on Friday with 39 Democratic votes, according to a senior Democratic aide.
The aide said there is not any pressure on the Senate Democratic leadership to bring the legislation sponsored by Rep. Fred Upton (R-Mich.) to the floor.
"There is a difference between constructive fixes designed to improve the law and bills that would gut it, said the senior Democratic aide. The Upton bill is the latter.

"Landrieu, help us!"
They may try, but this time it is different. Time and time, repubs have bee on the right side of this issue — against it.
Even stone cold libs are getting a shock with losing their coverage and finding out that there new policy sucks and will cost a lot more. Reality is hitting their pocketbooks and/or wallets.
Obama is the enemy. So is Roberts.
Not with the rats it won’t
Was that from Omega Man? Fitting. Charlton Heston would be the last man standing after the Obamacare Death Panels get done.
No thats a Star Trek show.
Well, that works too.
Because when people find out the results of Obamacare, they will say, “Beam me up, Scottie!”
I totally agree and have been shouting from the rooftops on this.
The only thing Republicans should do is pass a clean bill completely repealing Obamacare, and if Zero refuses, then file Articles of Impeachment.
Harry, you are Not of the Body.
I think that any action that mitigates the negative effects of ObamaCare actually helps Obama, even if he fights it.
If the Upton legislation leads people away from the exchanges this does not help Obama one bit. It imperils his program.
... LOL ... of course they won’t ..... They are going to present the Mary Landrieu bill. That was the plan all along!
It doesn't help Obama at all. It allows insurance companies to sell individual policies outside of the Exchanges and without any of the restrictions or mandates of Obamacare. It is a good bill - not as good as total repeal, but a heck of a lot better than a simple delay of the mandate. It makes it possible for insurance companies to actually survive this, which is in direct opposition to the planned objective of Obamacare which is to drive insurers out of the market.
The Upton bill is actually a good bill. It eliminates the mandates placed upon insurers, and it allows them to sell policies outside of the exchanges.
I believe insurers can already sell policies outside the exchanges.
But a.) they can't offer any subsidies against the premiums and b.) they must still comply with the coverage standards of Obamacare.
“the Republicans can’t even save the Democrats, the Democrats are so fricken stupid.”
the word hubris comes to mind
[Tell that to Justice Roberts.]
a.k.a.; The traitor Justice Roberts, aka, Benedict Arnold Unjust Justice Roberts.
In fairness, Peters voted with the Republicans back in July for a 1-year delay in the mandate. The same can’t be said for the vast majority of Dems.
[Mortally ill people whove lost their insurance and their doctors will soon be dying because of Obamacare.]
OBAMA LIED, PEOPLE DIED, AMERICA CRIED, I sighed for the hurt done and yet to come.
