This message brought to you by the Democratic National Committee
Consequently the GOP is now a carbon copy of the Democrat Party.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hey! I resent that. At least the Democrat Party is effective in their goals. The Stupid Party - on the other hand....
I agree with this article. The party left me long ago.
Really? And where do you disagree? What evidence is there to refute what’s in this article?
Please enlighten us.
More acrobatics to help the gopsies.
Don’t even go there.
On a slightly different note, Drudge has the James O’Keefe expose of Obamacare Navigators linked, and it looks like it’s brought the National Review website down temporarily. But when it’s back, watch the video here:
http://www.nationalreview.com/article/363699/truth-about-navigators-john-fund
There are TWO stories here. Obviously the big one is the fraud and corruption in the Obamacare program.
But pay attention to the other story, which comes out strongly in the “Texas” segment, which shows exactly how organized groups are aiming to “Make Texas a Blue State”.
The point is this: This is first-hand testimony for how hard the Other Side is willing to work, how organized they are, and how much money they are putting into their efforts.
What are WE doing?
Where’s the Tea Party, in comparison? Who is pumping similar organizational and financial resources into a Conservative Movement?
The answer is: No One. And that has to change if we expect to do what the title of this thread suggests. And time’s a wastin’...
Say what you will about George Soros and his influence, but he’s put his money where his mouth is. Where is the Conservative equivalent to MoveOn, Media Matters, Battleground Texas, and all the rest?
In this case, the Liberals/Democrats are going to war, and Conservatives are the ones hiding in the bushes.
“In other words it is impossible to change the structure of an institution without changing the source of its power”
This is absolutely true. It’s a law of nature. It’s immutable.
Great news. If the AFR is indeed “the ticket” then how many AFR congressmen do we have right now in DC? If the republican party is a lost cause and can’t be fixed they why don’t the AFR congressmen stop what is going on in DC?
Trouble is, they ARE effective in their goals. Their goals are simply not the ones they state publicly.
I won’t attempt to answer for him/her, but where conservatives are making headway in the GOP is in Red state legislatures. The article doesn’t address state politics, which is where I believe reform is possible. The GOP in DC is a lost cause, and I believe conservatives aught to walk away from it.
The question is whether we would have more influence on policy out side the party or inside. Right now I am not sure, but if they nominate a Cristy type again I am gone.
If we break it will be quickly evident to the establishment Repubs that they will be completely incapable of passing anything without our support, thus they will have no choice but to work with us.
But I am afraid and its a real possibility that the establishment Repubs are more in line with the Dems than with us.
Any one want to hazard a guess how fast McCain would switch parties if the Senate was evenly split in the 2014 election?
Koch Bros.
Yes, but it requires that conservatives GET OFF OF THEIR BUTTS, and work hard in the Primaries!!!
Patrick Moynihan infiltrated the Republican Party?
It is high time to stop trying the same failed strategy over and over.
Tea Party, not conservatives. A wise man, Dr. William Pierce (who also wrote some not wise stuff) compared conservatives to people living in a castle. While they are inside the castle, the enemy is constantly chipping away at the walls. We need to react and not hunker down.
Ross Perot 1992?
Didnt that end up with two Clinton terms?
Can hetero’s take over gay-loving church denominations?
Can the orthodox take over the RCC?
Can real men take over the military?
Can...
