Youre well aware of the nature of Harry Reid, so its not like anyone is going to be shocked that he thinks this way. And of course, Reid is not known for restraining his tongue. But isnt it still kind of astonishing, even coming from him, to hear such utter disregard for the real-life hardships being imposed on people because we really need to be thinking about the legacy of Barack Obama?
I hate to quote Politico because they are to journalism what Reid is to public service, but sometimes you just have to:
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has no plans to put legislation on the floor to delay any of the Obamacare deadlines, putting him in line with the White House. But its unclear how long Reid can hold off if the administration continues to stumble and pressure grows within his ranks to act in order to protect his fragile Senate majority.
One senior Senate Democratic aide predicted that no action on the law would be taken before the end of the year but added that all bets are off if the problems extend into 2014.
If we cant pivot off this by the new year, then were in trouble, the senior aide acknowledged.
In short, Democrats best hope is that the political backlash they are now enduring over the law is the worst it will get. Heading into 2014, when Democrats can only lose five net seats if they want to keep the Senate majority, the party wants to sell a positive story about the laws successes - and portray Republicans as fixated on recycling old political battles.
Stop carping about this, Reid scolded GOP senators on Thursday. Get over it. Its the law. Its the legacy of Barack Obama

Can we tell these two apart as "The Law"?
If it’s the law, then NO WAIVERS.
Does Harry think the Jews got over the Holocaust?
Why do I get the feeling, that no matter how much of disaster Obamacare is in reality — the Democrat dominated media and “education” establishments will forever portray it as some kind of shining achievement?
He says this like it's a good thing.
Delusional.
Republicans will find a way to screw up this gift handed to them.
They will and they will proclaim that ObamaCare’s faults and failures are be the result of Republican, esp. Tea Party Republican, sabotage.
Get on the train to Buchenwald and quit your bitching.
Can't argue with that statement. It's his turd forever. Period.
And Obama didn’t lie -the people are not loosing their insurance they like are just “transitioning” from their plan to Obamacare that they can’t sign up for and will be fined if they don’t.
Some laws are meant to be broken.
I’ll break this one.
F U H R!
We’ll know in 12 months how it turned out.
I’m somewhat optimistic that Obamacare is a Death Star for Dems.
But it comes down to how many of their supporters skate by (or even benefit) due to waivers, subsidies, and additional medicaid enrollees.
For the 2014 battle, we’re still in the 1st quarter of the game.
Taxpayers get the shaft while DC, and the 50% receiving entitlements, get the goldmine.
A Barry Bad Legacy
(lifted that from an article title about Marion Barry - but it fits here!)
I agree, the same way that Carter’s legacy was the Iran hostage crisis.
That means putting your dear leader's 'law' on hold pending its being overturned for being UN-Consitutional.
Liberals are opposed to individual liberty as defined in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. The only real issue they have with chattel slavery in America two hundred years ago is that the slaves were privately owned.
They are all orgasmic over the idea of slavery to the state.
Democrats never pass up on opportunity to tell us why enslavement by the state is for our own protection and our own safety, because life under the anarchy that conservatives want to impose is just too risky and dangerous. We can't have any of that inhumane"on-your-own economics" that conservatives advocate.
Thereby proving that you no longer have to be black to be an Uncle Tom.
