The Insiders: Six reasons Obamacare will only get worse for Democrats
Washington Post ^ | 11/10/2013 | BY ED ROGERS

Here are six reasons that Obamacare will only get worse for the Democrats:

There will be more canceled health insurance plans. Every day, more and more Americans are receiving cancellation notices for plans they liked and wanted to keep. And every day, they continue to hear administration officials and their Democratic allies insist that the president didn’t lie about people being able to keep their health insurance plans. Dissatisfaction with Obamacare grows exponentially as people witness family members and colleagues being victimized by the “big lie.”

If you like your doctor, you can’t keep your doctor. Soon the story will break through that a lot of Americans will be losing access to their doctors and will be forced to pick one approved by Obamacare. Health-care plans are instituting very restrictive provider networks to try to keep down costs in the face of astronomically rising premiums. In New Hampshire, for instance, only 16 of the state’s 26 hospitals will be in the network of exchange plans approved by Obamacare. The reaction of voters losing, in some cases, the person who has been their doctor for years could be worse for Democrats than what we are currently seeing in the involuntary loss of insurance plans.

Sticker shock. Prices for health-care plans are not coming down for many voters. Once the Web site starts working and Americans can “shop around” for their new health insurance plans as the president instructed they should do, they are going to experience sticker shock. Premiums and deductibles will be going up for millions of hardworking Americans who can’t afford these increases – especially for coverage they don’t need or want.

What if tossing the RATS under the bus was Obama's plan all along? Hillary and the RATS and going to have an uphill battle to rid themselves of this, BUT, the GOPe squishy ones may be able to save themselves against the TP candidates?

Could some of the trade off's, that made no sense, and some future (Illegal Immigration, etc) still be the trade off for long term survivability of the RATS, long after the current GOPe are ending their terms?

Just thinking out loud...trying to see the larger picture...

Anyone have thoughts or ideas on the longer endgame?

I started thinking about the USSC decision. How was it presented?? Is the decision null and void because of this MAJOR, CATASTROPHIC lie?

I think we will revisit this soon....and just like prohibition...it will get whacked. In hindsight, perhaps Roberts did us a favor...a wake up call to show us what happens when you have a dictator and his minions at the helm.

The Rats are going down in 2014. Run commercials in every Rat district, even those deemed “safe” and call them out as the liars they are. Run them day and night and include they are chronic liars.

A lot of Democrats are beginning to think a little panic is in order. The worst is yet to come.

Or the best, depending on your point of view.

Doctors are being dropped from some insurance carrier networks. This is completely accurate. The past 2 weeks I’ve had an influx of patients informing me they are seeing me because their previous doctor has been dropped by their plan. I’ve never seen such a mass effort that boots doctors. This IS the next big story.

True. But arrogance and deceit also puts the ugly into a person.

The only solution I see for Democrats would be for them to figure out how they can call it BushCare and that ain’t going to happen.

The Houses and senate could pass a very simple bill
to amend the IRS tax code to allow for all expenses
related to health care and health insurance to be a tax credit.

I wonder if the president would sign it?

Ed has posted a notice of certain impending death.

He says many Democrats think panic is in order. Being told to get on board with the deceit is to hear spoken your death warrant.

Oama is over. He is to arrogant to realize it. He has only one course....... suicide.

Lying is probably the least of the transgressions of the Current Occupant now squatting in the White Hut (or “Spite Hut”). With no internal moral compass, he does not even understand the concept of “lying”.

Abysmally uninformed, and willfully trying to retain that status though besieged from every side. He has said it, so it must be so. The Pharaohs of Egypt were similarly disconnected from the cause and effect of their actions.

“Incompetent” is probably a much better adjective to apply.

Nixon, "I did not lie", Obama, "I lied but sorry you Americans are dumb enough to fall for it".

Ain't that the truth. If Nixon were a democrat there never would have been a President Gerald Ford.

I see reports that "millions of insurance policies will be canceled." I have one question... when a policy is canceled, how many people are affected?

The media seems to imply that One Policy = One Person.

They say "OK, 20 million policies may be canceled, but in a country with 300+ million people, its just a drop in the bucket.

But, if the policy was for a family, aren't we talking about 40-50 million, or more, being affected??

Plus, these people have relatives who may be called upon to bail out people who can't afford the new monthly rates, or meet the new $10,000 deductibles.

I still believe that the Administration and MSM are downplaying how bad things will get.

No, it's Obama: I lied because you guys are too dumb to know what's right.

Which makes me wonder about the whole concept of democracy. If the government lies to its people because they think they are too dumb to vote correctly, is it really a democracy? Doesn't a democracy depend on information getting to the voters?

Yes, there are millions of voters who are being tossed off their insurance and being faced with enormous premium increases.

There are also millions of new Medicaid enrollees and low-income workers being provided with “free” subsidies.

A lot of the people on private insurance who are being screwed were small-businessmen and entrepreneurs.

Is the Democrat party really being faced with a net loss of voters in this mess?
