Two Gonzaga University seniors are on the verge of being expelled after using a gun to defend themselves from a career criminal trying to break into their apartment.
Erik Fagan and Dan McIntosh, who both live in an off-campus near the school’s Spokane, OR., campus, were accosted last month by a man demanding money while standing in the door of their apartment.
Mr Fagan offered food and a blanket, but declined to give ex-con John Taylor any money, he told KHQ. Mr Taylor then tried to fight his way into the apartment but was scared off by Mr McIntosh’s hand gun.

Absolutely. And call the NRA; there are folks who defend victims (of both the University and the “homeless” creature) of citizens having their 2nd Amendment rights denied.

Sue the university for millions of dollars. This is outrageous.
Maybe transfer to a saner school.
I can kinda sorta see the school’s fear and it’s tied, I believe, to lawsuit happiness. Since it apparently happened in a housing unit kept by the school, the school is worrying about the possibility of getting sued by someone shot by an occupant of the unit. Now in a saner age such a suit would get laughed off. But our new fangled “deep pockets” require, not just allow, some sufficiently rich party who is a minor co-defendant to stand the whole cost of an inflated lawsuit. One of the earlier ways liberalism went off the rails.

Also... the more we can get back to a rights-based view of keeping and bearing arms, perhaps the less opportunity there would be for such lawsuits to win. Because if the school can’t control the use of the guns, then it cannot be held liable for not having controlled them.
Never trust your life to an effing Liberal. They’re going to righteously do exactly the wrong thing.
And their jurisdiction to punish students for engaging in legal behavior off-campus? Shoot, hit them for more money than you’d make in a lifetime with a degree from their “school”, and all is well.

Ha, ha! Good one! These guys live OFF CAMPUS!
Apparently Spokane has gotten larger since I was there last ;’)
