President Obama spins while his image burns

While White House Press Secretary Jay Carney and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius got grilled this week about ObamaCare's snafus, the image of their boss, President Obama, has gotten fried.

According to a recent NBC/Wall Street Journal poll, President Obama’s personal likability rating among Americans is more negative than positive for the first time in his presidency: a net negative 4%.

I believe the reason for this slide is that the ObamaCare rollout has finally convinced most Americans that the president is personally responsible for misleading them and personally accountable for imposing hurtful, intrusive, expensive consequences on the public.

0bama knew what 0bamaCare would do three years ago.

Everyone knew it.

The Dems were forced to vote on it three years ago and every one of them voted against fixing it.

The guy deserves it all, and more.

But the bad news is, if he succeeds in structurally reducing the People to dependency on his Machine, he still wins.

The five-dollar word for what he's doing is "reproletarization". It's nasty as it sounds, and the man has to be made of pure malevolence to carry through a policy like that.

More than his ‘image’ is going to burn when he sheds this mortal coil.

“I am sorry that they are finding themselves in this situation based on assurances they got from me.” So he is sorry they believed his lies, when they should have known that he never tells the truth. What a retard!

I knew this was coming, and said so many times here. I’ve also predicted that before this is over, Democrats are going to be in full panic retreat away from Obama, as his historic boondoggle goes down in flames.

Even if Congress agrees to delay implementation of Obamacare for another year, the piper will come calling again. When he does, the pain, financial strife, and economic dislocation will resume, and it will burn the Democrat party alive.

As badly as this country has slid from its former glory, Americans are still not prepared to undergo such a radical, fundamental transformation of their entire way of life, and their (perceived) relationship to their government, in just the span of one man’s term in office.

Repercussions are coming, and they will be severe for the Democrats. They’ve set in motion something that is disastrous, and almost impossible to unwind at this point. They’ve crossed a Rubicon that they will regret for a generation or more.

Well said.

Despite the frustrations of our losses, our efforts must account for the long term to benefit the generations of tomorrow.

The enemy is within.

I listened to his pre-Senate run speeches and interviews. Then I read his crap when he ran for state Senator and then we all listened to his garbage during both elections. The man told these cretins that he was going to “Fundamentally change America” and that our US Constitution was “Fundamentally flawed with negative rights” (read Federal Powers). Fundamental as at their cores, they are flawed and that America sucked so badly that it must be radically changed.

He told a woman that her mother of 95 that had enjoyed 5 years of additional life (and still going strong) due to a pacemaker implant, would have to go home and take a pain pill and die... he could make no exceptions for “spirit of life/will to live”.

What the hell did they think that he was going to do?

I agree with you 100% but there will be much pain and suffering as it plays out.

Obama probably thinks that if he can brazen it out for a week or two more, the media will get over their current tiff and close ranks to defend him again. All they have to do is figure out a line that puts the blame on someone else that Democrats and other low-information voters will accept.
