Lara Logan Apologizes for ’60 Minutes’ Benghazi Report: ‘We Were Wrong’

“60 Minutes” correspondent Lara Logan apologized Friday for what CBS News is now acknowledging was a flawed report last month about the Benghazi attacks.

“The most important thing to every person at ’60 Minutes’ is the truth, and today the truth is that we made a mistake, and that’s very disappointing for any journalist, it’s very disappointing for me,” Logan said on “CBS This Morning. “Nobody likes to admit that they made a mistake, but if you do, you have to stand up and take responsibility and you have to say you were wrong, and in this case we were wrong.”

Isn’t this the 60 minutes where Steve Kroft interviewed Obama and Hillary together, and instead of asking them questions about Benghazi decided to throw some really tough questions their way like “Do you guys like each other?” “Are you good friends?” “What do you admire in each other?”

AP was similarly implicated in the scandal but skated away without a damaged reputation. Dan Rather jumped the gun on airing the documents to beat AP to the punch. NEITHER acknowledged the controversy regarding authenticity for several days (the questions began DAY ONE).

The real question is: exactly what was President Obama doing the night of Sept. 12, 2013 at the White House while this attack was occurring?

He portrayed teeming Muslim majorities there as "victims of Western colonialism and Cold War policies," stupidly promoting American-style democracy for these conflicting cultures w/ thousands of years of religious and territorial factionalism.

Gehad el-Haddad served as one of the Muslim Brotherhood’s top communications officials; he was a top Brotherhood official and adviser to Barack Obama's hand-picked Egyptian candidate, Morsi (now deposed).

Gehad el-Haddad served for five years as a top official at the Clinton Foundation, a tax-exempt do-good foundation founded by former President Bill Clinton. El-Haddad pushed the Muslim Brotherhood’s Islamist agenda in the foreign press, where he was often quoted defending the Brotherhood’s crackdown on civil liberties in Egypt.

Gehad became the public face of the Islamist terrorist organization soon after leaving his post at the Clinton Foundation.

Much of Gehad's official terroristic-type work with the Muslim Brotherhood took place while he was still claiming to be employed by the Clinton Foundation.

IMHO, the global tipping point occurred when Egyptian General al-Sisi refused to take vacaying Obaba's call from MV. It affirmed Gen al-Sisi's determination not to let Obaba interfere with his plan to drive the Muslim Brotherhood out of Egyptian politics.

Al Sisi's got the lay of the land---he knows who's got the ear of our Muslim president.

NOTE Superpowers Russia and China both backed al-Sisi and the Saudis jet-streamed al-Sisi millions to finish the job of disemboweling the Brotherhood. The Egyptian military vowed to rebuild the 63 churches torched by the marauding Egyptian Muslims.

I believe that either CBS was set up intentionally to attempt to shut anyone up over Bengazi, or that a document was created to try to discredit the CBS report. Either way, Obama has lied and people died because of it. Obama, Hillary and anyone else who pushed this tragedy should be punished.

This is more baloney from 60 minutes. It’s too early in the game for them to be apologizing. They haven’t had enough time to thoroughly check out anything. It took them a year to run this story and only a couple of days to apologize? BS. The proper answer would have been, “We are checking into this.” The money from the Democrat party must have come through. We have the best news people the Democrats can buy. What a pathetic joke these people are.
