60 Minutes correspondent Lara Logan apologized Friday for what CBS News is now acknowledging was a flawed report last month about the Benghazi attacks.
The most important thing to every person at 60 Minutes is the truth, and today the truth is that we made a mistake, and thats very disappointing for any journalist, its very disappointing for me, Logan said on CBS This Morning. Nobody likes to admit that they made a mistake, but if you do, you have to stand up and take responsibility and you have to say you were wrong, and in this case we were wrong.

Would not rule out a setup to warn CBS and the rest of the media to layoff Benghazi.

I hear a lot of people taking responsibility for their incompetence but I only see the American people paying the consequences.

According to the article, they had a dude on that said he was at the compound during the attacks. However, his initial report to the FBI said he was not there.
To: Hotlanta Mike
Wasn’t it 60 Minutes, via Dan Rather, that reported the lies about W’s National Guard service? The BS really fits their network!
To: Hotlanta Mike
I respect that they admit they were wrong. That is one step forward. Or are they simply more afraid of another “rathergate” incident?

The guy who have them the report supposedly lied about actually having been there - he said in an earlier report to the FBI that he hadn’t been present.

The mistake they now realize they made, was that they actually reported on Benghazi. Their masters were not happy.

I wonder just what they specifically threatened her with if she didn’t retract the story. Does Logan have children?

Did SeeBS News ever come clean and declare that the Bush National Guard memos were forgeries and identify WHO created them? Did they ever broadcast/webcast the overlay of the WORD document with the "genuine article memo as faxed from a Kinko's near Waco"?

The guy who have them the report supposedly lied about actually having been there - he said in an earlier report to the FBI that he hadnt been present.I'd bet they knew from the start. What a diabolical propaganda tactic!
Now, no matter who comes forward, whether they were there or not, they will be dismissed as (the) liar(s)!
They could have been in the compound, wounded with a bullet engraved with Barry's signature (and have it as a souvenir), and personally have seen him leading the attack, and never have any credibility.
This isn't a retraction, it is a preemptive strike!
