Five millions tons of debris made up of devastated property is making its way to the US following the 2011 tsunami in Japan

A floating island of debris three times the size of BRITAIN is heading for the California coastline sparking huge environmental concerns.

Five millions tons of rubbish made up of devastated homes, boats, cars and businesses is making its way across the Pacific Ocean following the 2011 tsunami in Japan.

Scientists have already discovered debris on the west coast but their latest findings suggest California is expected to be hit with a deluge all at once.

America’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration released their latest findings showing a huge island of rubbish floating northeast of the Hawaiian Islands.

Boffins have been unable to say for certain when the debris will wash ashore but they have been closely monitoring its movements which stretches from Alaska to the Philippines.

the founder of Free Republic resides in California

Thank you for mentioning that. And not only that, but California consistently tops the FReepathon donation list. It bugs the heck out of me that many FReepers paint all Californians with the liberal broad brush. California brought you Nixon and Reagan and John Wayne and many other good conservatives, but we've simply become overrun and outnumbered by the libs, illegals and gimmedats.

Must be thousands of glass fishing net floats in there and they fetch a pretty penny. Good beach combing this Winter.

“that it came from Japan is a likely theory, but there are other options”

I’m going to write “I’m from Mars” on all my trash now.

Do you know the founder of Free Republic resides in California ?

Thank you for that! Many of us Freepers reside there, too. There are plenty of good conservatives here; we're just outnumbered. So it's very annoying when Freepers post stuff like, "Let CA sink into the ocean," "Give it to Mexico," or "Californians deserve this or that."

“Do you know the founder of Free Republic resides in California ?”

Do you know that a Christian lives in Iran?

What’s your point?

Point is that not everyone who lives in CA are liberals, yet we have folks in here cheering this on. If non-libs are hurt, well, thats just acceptable collateral damage,,,right?

Let the homeless clean it up and make shanty towns out of the junk. Affordable housing is needed. (’

My comment to all these articles is “Prove it!”. This is just speculation. If there is something that big in the ocean, we should have plenty of photos. None produced with the article except what looks to be 500 square feet of floating debris. The so called plastic gyre suffers from the same lack of credibility. The libs assert, everyone believes, without any proof. Not me.
