New Jersey governor Chris Christie, a Republican, is on his way to winning big in his bid for reelection Tuesday, and there's already talk he may be on his way to running for president in three years. Speaking to CNN's Jake Tapper, Christie argued he's not a moderate as he's sometimes portrayed.
"I'm a conservative," Christie told Tapper. "I've governed as a conservative in this state, and I think that's led to some people disagreeing with me in our state, because it's generally a left-of-center, blue state."

http://www.ontheissues.org/governor/chris_christie_abortion.htm Christie claims to have been pro-life since hearing his daughter’s prenatal heartbeat in 1996, two years after his last donation to Planned Parenthood.
http://www.ontheissues.org/Governor/Chris_Christie_Gun_Control.htm Supports gun restrictions: “The issue which has energized me to get into this race (NJ Gov.) is the recent attempt by certain Republican legislators to repeal NJ’s ban on assault weapons.”
http://www.ontheissues.org/Governor/Chris_Christie_Immigration.htm Supports lower tuition for illegals from other countries than for legal residents from other states (and lies doing it): “I’ve never been opposed to tuition equality.”
Christie is not on the far left fringe, where Obama is, but he is in no way a conservative. He is, for me, unacceptably liberal, and he will not get my vote just as Romney did not get my vote.
...by softening its edge on some volatile social issues and altering its image as the party always seemingly "eager to go to war... We do need to expand the party and grow the party and that does mean that we don't always all agree on every issue" ... the party needs to become more welcoming to individuals who disagree with basic Republican doctrine on emotional social issues such as gay marriage... "We're going to have to be a little hands off on some of these issues ... and get people into the party," Paul said.
Don’t forget he slandered Cruz and the Tea Party. Getting elected governor in NJ proves he’s not conservative.

Sen. Rand Paul is hammering his fellow senators for keeping billions in financial aid flowing to Egypt’s military — even as Cairo’s security forces massacre anti-government activists.
[by “anti-government activists” is meant church-burning jihadists]
Chris, Chris, Chris - if you have to defend it ... you aren’t it.
Perhaps Christie, after getting crushed in the GOP Primary, will pull a sweetie move like mr. sweetness in Florida, and run as a Democrat.
Here's the passage at issue:In the 1980s, the war caucus in Congress armed bin Laden and the mujaheddin in their fight with the Soviet Union. In fact, it was the official position of the State Department to support radical jihad against the Soviets. We all know how well that worked out.Let's leave aside for now the insulting, utterly asinine, sickening, inexcusable use of the phrase "war caucus" to describe those (including Reagan!) who supported the mujaheddin against the Soviets. That word choice alone is almost entirely disqualifying for its purveyor to ever be president.
Instead, let's just look at a little history here -- because the ignorance evident in this paragraph is truly astonishing. One would be hard pressed to find even a single historian, whether right, left, or center, who would argue anything other than that the Soviet failure in Afghanistan was not just a huge factor, but probably an essential one, in the Soviets' ultimate loss of the Cold War. [Rand Pauls Really Ignorant Paragraph | 7 Feb 2013]
I hope that his possible run for the presidency is as much of a joke as it seems, but I fear that it is not. Stranger things have happened.
Playing the Juan McLame Game.
Every Republican is a conservative on the day of the election. It’s the day after that is troubling.
Yeah right fatso..and I’m a Dumocrap.
FWIW:
The youngest daughter of state Sen. Barbara Buono, Christie's opponent in the November election, wrote a scathing letter today to Buono supporters on the governor's opposition to same-sex marriage. In it, Tessa Bitterman, a 22-year-old San Francisco resident following her mother's footsteps to law school, says she is a "gay American" and Christie is a "giant roadblock to New Jersey achieving equality for all."
Fatism? And she's hardly one to talk. She could even be his own kid:
For New Jersey, its a win for Republicans, for America it would b a loss. But ya know I say that and someone told me he is pro-life and is against gay- marriage? Is that true? I find that shocking if that is true and he still got elected in N.J. My friend believes conservatives might b pleasantly surprised if he were to win the Presidency. He thinks he is at times letting some isues go to fool some libs for the bigger prize. Anyway, just an idea I heard.
And I’m a Nigerian prince with a special business proposition for you.
Well, at least he opposed government employee unions.
even though he is a moderate, he at least fights
C’mon man. Christie selected a prochoice Lt.Governor - Kim Guadagno.
Exactly. He may be wrong some of the time but he’s got balls that no Republican in recent memory has.
Thanks Guv for a huge belly laugh.
