Thread for discussion of tonight's VA Gov Elecitons Result. Is this too early?

Well, I’m not a republican. Never have been. Probably never will be. So I guess I get a pass on that one? I’m an independent ANTI-partisan. I view the political parties, including most of the third parties, as more or less equally worthless.
Never liked the term “RINO.” To me they’re RINWADS: Republican In Name, Word, and Deed.

I respectfully disagree. Yes. The GOPe may have aided in a defeat of a Tea Party backed candidate. They did little harm to the philosophy or movement of the Tea Party. In fact, our newfound enemies have exposed themselves for what they are... statists without conviction. May they burn in hell. I am emboldened; and not the least bit discouraged by the results. Drink up my friends for their is tomorrow.

Part of it might be that Cuccinelli got tangled up with the company that bribed the sitting governor. That, coupled with Cuccinelli’s longstanding refusal to denounce the governor after he got caught might well have turned off just enough people.

Some of you people here are the biggest political retards I have ever seen in my life. Let’s recap: Cuc had three strikes going into this - 1) Outspent by at leat 2 to 1, 2) Faux libertarian plant put into the race by the Dems to suck votes and 3) No help from the GOPe.
All that and he lost by about a percent and half after being down double digits two weeks ago. I can guarantee you the Dems are crapping their pants.

I don’t know why everyone else is dumping on Fox for calling it but I’m personally sick of their projections. Up until the last votes are counted, no one has won.

Cuccinelli ran a horrible race. He was disorganized, had no ground game, and responded defensively to every sling. He was doomed the second he started complaining about negative advertising. That he came this close speaks volumes for what the TEA party can do when it puts its mind to it.
