A survey released Monday by the Commonwealth Fund, however, suggests that the site's problems haven't had much of an impact ... yet.
It found that 5 out of 6 people who would be served by the exchanges had yet to shop there.
Although 70% of those who visited the exchanges rated the experience as "fair" or "poor," only about 5% of those surveyed said the websites' technical problems were a factor in them not enrolling.
So if the survey's sample is representative of the country as a whole, the real and serious technical problems at the exchanges' websites are affecting only about 5% of the potential enrollees, even though they're generating most of the headlines

Political affiliation:
Democrat - 31%
Republican - 14%
Independent - 45%
Another BS article.
Only 14% Republicans in the survey...
So are they whistling past the graveyard, or trying to give a heads-up to their fellow collectivist sleazoids inside the goobermint?
Correct. The vast majority are avoiding this steaming pile of obama because of the law itself; the high deductibles, unaffordable premiums, security risks, and plain old American opposition to fascism.
Horsecrap survey.
Since it appears that the huge majority of enrollees are going into Medicaid, and most of the rest are low income folks expecting big subidies, I suspect Republicans would be a small fraction.
I think this is a pretty damning indictment against Americans in general. While the political affiliation is very obviously skewed, the fact is many Americans, the mindless masses, will believe this out of hand without any regard for methodology or honesty.
Face it, Americans are, by and large, lazy and unmotivated to do their research.
Ooh, Honey Boo Boo is on.
Aside from all this the website is a distraction from the fact Obamacare is a disaster.
I love the article saying the website isn’t the reason people won’t enroll, like that’s a good thing.
This website is like the Mohammed youtube video.
Play Obama-nopoly
how many actually signed up so far?
I am willing to bet less than 1000 TOTAL
83% have not even attempted to log in yet! This poll means nothing without significant participants. Wait till they get a load of what is in store for them.
HE WAS ALSO DENIED DISABILITY ...as the Judge told him He could still clean out toilets with that bendy arm'"
SELF-DELUSION - it’s so sad.
-——5 out of 6 people who would be served by the exchanges had yet to shop there——
This is an important statement of fact. The presumption of good news is that eventually before the first of the year when existing policies expire or by the end of March the 5 will sign up.
There is lots of anecdotal evidence to the contrary. There is a reluctance among the young to do anything voluntarily, especially while there is a heavy fog obscuring the problems. Better do nothing than spend when you don’t really have to. I can continue to do without insurance till the fog clears.
There is also tons of emerging testimony that cancellation of existing problems is resulting in serious anger. There is no certainty that decisions to sign up will result. It is easier to dither inspite of having no insurance.
Then there are the 2. That is of the 5, there are maybe 1 or 2 that have ongoing medical problems requiring immediate payments. They must sign up immediately to get treatment. They will be a cost burden.
Bottom line...... 2014 is going to be a bad year for the healthcare business. There is at this late date, no solution. There is no return to what was. Cancelled policies can not be renewed because insurors do not know the pricing. They spent their time and effort preparing for Obamacare, not renewal of old cancelled then uncancelled policies.
