Bush only had a 50% Presidency and 50% is failure.

Did OK on the war and taxes, but let the Democrats get away with the disaster that led to the economic collapse and he wanted amnesty along with other bad ideas.

Hardly shocking. George is a good man who happens to be a progressive republican.

Obama funds al Queda and Bush says nothing about it. Was he “playing” us with the “War on Terror”?

Conservatives that get fired up about what the NYT says about a former republican president are truly falling into their trap.

Whatever, we all know bush was complicate in the political disasters that struck his administration. He never lifted a finger to fight the socialists.

We won’t make that mistake again. No more RINOs.

But Mr. Bush is most worried about what he sees as a growing isolationism, a retreat from the tough-minded national security policies and assertive American role in the world that he championed. “That’s his main concern about the Tea Party,” Mr. Glassman said. In that vein, Mr. Bush contributed $5,000 to Senator Lindsey Graham, a hawkish South Carolina Republican who is facing a challenge from the right.

Ironically, the folks who are of the Tea Party persuasion were probably his most vocal supporters against the incessant attacks of the left. We defended him when he wouldn't defend himself.

Moreover, GWB makes the same mistake that so many others in the GOP-e make: Conflating the Tea Party movement with the isolationist Ron Paul and his Libertarian coterie.

He should know better than to ignore the hand that fed him.

A truly disappointing article. But, then, coming from the New York Times, it is intended to be.

And painting portraits of his fellow Ruling Class members. The Bushes are the ones who put us on this path to ruin.

LOL.

A stupid "news" article:
This article is adapted in part from “Days of Fire: Bush and Cheney in the White House,” published last month by Doubleday.

Mr. Bush resolutely stays out of the public debate.

Well, unless he sees another chance to push amnesty for illegal aliens which now seems to have been the issue that meant more to him than any other.

He's broken his supposed silence several times to give another push for amnesty, and I expect we'll hear from him again when that issue is resurrected for the umpteenth time.

I thought it curious that they take up residence IN Dallas after they leave the White House.

What happened to the ranch?

Of course anything from the New York Slimes is suspect, but the fact that he donated to Lindsay Graham means he is not staying out of politics. He has chosen his side.
