Gooooood mornin', Early Birds!
Funny how Mondays aren't as bad
When ya don't have to go to work! :)
It's a beautiful, chilly [52] day here!
Know it's colder for some of you....
....but enjoy! It's gonna get worse!
Aren't I just the "bluebird of happiness"
this morning? LOL!
Everyone have a GREAT day!
(((((hugs))))

It is drizzling here off and on..I noticed the drought map looks better..only the panhandle and south Texas still showing. Lake Waco is 83% full...an improvement.

We are probably out of the drought, but Lake Travis is still almost 60’ low. It has come up just over four feet with the recent rains, but remains about 33% capacity. Same for Lake Buchanan.

I wonder if those lakes use more water for consumption than we do..and also have had less run off rain.

It could be. I'm not familiar with how these things work.

I went to the Frigidare website to check out the model number for the fridge and come to find out it's listed as "Unavailable" so no new parts for it.

We'll see how this works out. Already almost 100 cubes of ice with the ice trays.

Good morning night owl ((HUGS))

You are disgustingly chipper this morning for a night owl. Must have something to do with rubbing it in on not working today?????

LOL

Buchanan and Travis are strictly for flood control. I’ve read that Buchanan dam could break and Lake Travis could hold most of the water before going over the top of Mansfield dam. That is if Travis is at 650’ MSL.

The LCRA was letting water out of Travis last month to get fresh water to the oyster beds. Now all the rain water from the recent rains will end up in the gulf too. All the major runoff was below Mansfield dam.

I had to work both evenings, but nothing was happening. Nice quiet shifts for the most part.

Those lakes are much larger than Lake Waco is!
We took a rare depression era pre war camping/ fishing vacation trip to Lake Buchanan after sightseeing in San Antonio. Mission visits for my mother and fishing for my dad..I was about 6 and caught my first fish.
;o)
