Its been a disastrous couple of weeks for President Barack Obama. His signature legislation, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, is a slow-motion train wreck. His poll numbers have tanked.
Now, things have gotten so bad for Obama that former president Jimmy Carter has called President Obama incompetent in the family-friendly pages of Parade magazine.
Hes done the best he could under the circumstances, Carter said of Obama in an interviewed published on Thursday. His major accomplishment was Obamacare, and the implementation of it now is questionable at best.
Carter presided over what was, until the current recession, the longest period of economic stagnation since the Great Depression. There was runaway inflation, high unemployment and an ongoing energy crisis. There was a hostage crisis in Iran involving the capture and imprisonment of 52 Americans for 444 days.
In the summer of 1979, Carter gave one of the least effective speeches any president in the history of the American presidency. The deeply unpopular Crisis of Confidence speech became widely known as Carters malaise speech.
Carter lost his 1980 reelection bid to Ronald Reagan by an electoral vote total of 489 to 49. He won only six states, along with the District of Columbia.
The 39th presidents Parade interview touched on several subjects in addition to Obamacare including his grandsons role in a hidden camera video of Mitt Romney, the Middle East, the Trayvon Martin case and the recent tribulations of fellow Georgian Paula Deen.
Carters wife Rosalynn was also present at the interview and contributed to it.

Referring to his affirmative action, resume-free, non-American persona.
This is the most tragic/comic moment in America's culture.
W’s Great Grandpa Annhieser was a real wretch.......
Jimmah has just been abiding his time and waiting for this very chance all these years.
“Carter may have been incompetent, but at least (back in the day) I believe he had Americas interests at heart.”
I agree. Carter was an incompetent fool, but that is as far as it went. Obama is out and out evil, and in fact has been quite effective at implementing his many plans to destroy the U.S. Obamacare was simply overreach coupled with the fact that the left actually believes competence is an irrelevant factor when selecting individuals and institutions to build, invent, make or do stuff.
Jimmy—the micromanagement expert—is giving some advice to the Obarickone. That interview in which he talked about “terrible secrets” impressed editor Paul Greenberg to comment. Jimmah has discovered a president with a worm in his head who doesn’t have any secrets at all—new NSA revelations daily.
Wow. This is like being called a lousy cheater by Bill Clinton.
Watch it now, them Kettles is a mighty big clan.
New poll shows bho rated 5th best President in US history!!!
The Democrat publicity release said:”...after a little more than 5 years, Americans have rated President Obama the 5th best president ever.
The details according to White House Publicists:
Reagan & Lincoln tied for first;
23 presidents tied for second;
17 other presidents tied for third;
Jimmy Carter came in 4th;
and Obama came in fifth.
The USS NIMITZ was launched in 1975.
As the saying goes,Takes One to know one
“I dont think he will end up that close to the cellar....professional rankings usually come out around 20-25th worst...but in our lifetimes there is probably no doubt unless you go back to Harding. :)”

Haven’t you seen the latest debunking of the Harding myth? Harding was nowhere near to being as sorry as Carter. Harding was not perfect but he has gotten a bum rap in many respects. He was actually a much better president than Bill Clinton, certainly far better than Carter or Obama.
Just logged on, and I must say, I have not had such a prolonged gut busting belly laugh for a looooong time. Wife and daughter came in to the room to see what was the matter!
I would not say more accomplished than Clinton, so you can make the case of either Carter or Nixon perhaps being the worst in the last 50 years. Harding didn’t have nearly the innate intelligence or work ethic of Carter although for different reasons clearly neither measured up to the responsibilities of the highest office.
1. “...not more acccomplished than Clinton...”
Apparently you know of some accomlishments of which I am unaware, maybe Clinton scored with more women, that is about all I could think of unless you count being the first ELECTED president to be impeached or to my knowledge the first president to have a credible charge of rape lodged against him by a woman.
2.”...so you can make the case of either Carter or Nixon perhaps being the worst in the last 50 years.”
Harding died ninety years ago so he has zero to do with the last fifty years. Even if he were still living the current resident would be hands down the worst in the past fifty years as he is hands down the worst in the past one hundred and will almost certainly prove in the end to be the worst ever when judged by end results.
3.”Harding didnt have nearly the innate intelligence or work ethic of Carter although for different reasons clearly neither measured up to the responsibilities of the highest office.”
Depends on how you define intelligence, dig through the fallacies to actual history and I think you will find that Harding’s judgement, though not perfect by any means, was far better than Carter’s and hard work ceases to be a virtue anyway when expended on a fool’s errand as Carter’s was and is.
As for Nixon I have never been a defender, he is clearly the source of the national health care that Hillary Clinton tried to pass and that eventually became the abomination under which we are now just beginning to lose all hope of any real health care and Nixon did have some very strange ideas that most may be unaware of, given opportunity he could have been a true tyrant, his totally unnecessary and unworkable wage and price freeze showed how dangerous he could have been. Nixon did have some sort of moral code at least and that is more than I can say for Clinton or Obama. As for “Watergate” it is utterly laughable in comparison to the crimes of Clinton and if such a thing were brought up now as a charge against Obama it would have less of an impact than the fact that he apparently was seen killing a fly. Nixon did have the decency to resign which alone sets him above Clinton or Obama. Either one of those would see the whole country destroyed rather than resign.
