Haven’t you seen the latest debunking of the Harding myth? Harding was nowhere near to being as sorry as Carter. Harding was not perfect but he has gotten a bum rap in many respects. He was actually a much better president than Bill Clinton, certainly far better than Carter or Obama.
I would not say more accomplished than Clinton, so you can make the case of either Carter or Nixon perhaps being the worst in the last 50 years. Harding didn’t have nearly the innate intelligence or work ethic of Carter although for different reasons clearly neither measured up to the responsibilities of the highest office.
