Barack Obama has been subjected to as many personal attacks as any modern president.
Terrorist. Traitor. Hater of America. Secret Muslim.
Unusually for a politician, however, the one thing he hasn't been called much is a liar, except by his most adamant critics.
That's all changed now. Obama is being widely called out for having claimed, repeatedly, that under the Affordable Care Act, people who liked their health insurance plans could keep them.

NPR just pulled a wisdom tooth !
Welcome to the Tea Party, NPR. Please proceed to the delousing area before entering America.
Barry’s poll numbers are tanking because the communists have moved on to pimping their next fascist dictator, Mrs. Slick Willie. The Kenyan got a lot of the communist agenda accomplished but the boy is finished. Time to move on to the next big thing. “The smartest and most qualified person to have ever lived not only on this planet but in the entire universe.” Hillary Benghazi.
Duh!! There is no question, ya think?
Change is good. Moving forward and all that psycho-babble garbage-talk. So 0bama should relax and accept this change, that even his liberal allies finally figured out that he is Jay-Zee clone. Our rapper in Chief. A stone cold liar is many situations. Why? Because he likes lying and being a greasy salesman from the hard sell school.
0 is also an David Axelrod clone. That pathetic crumb has been on TV recently lying to the American public. Why? Because they are ego-addicted to power and lies is how they get it. Lying leftist crap is his hobby. He doesn’t need the money.
He’s the whole 9 yards. the real deal, the waterwing wonder, le pedaler dejure, meat on a stick, teflon chicago-style
NPR just has to keep covering up for their boy. They can look up the fact that in June 2010, Sen. Enzi of Nevada introduced legislation to fix the ObamaCare law because he and other GOP legislators discovered that buried in ObamaCare’s 2200 pages, 66% of independent consumers of health care plans and 45% of employer-sponsored plans would not be grandfathered in as of January 1, 2014.
The Democrats, including Manchin of WVA and Landrieu of LA, voted against that bill. Now they are lying through their teeth, insisting no one knew that people would be thrown off of well-designed plans that were affordable for their families. Every GOP senator should bring up this fact in every interview. The bill could have been changed three years ago to save truly affordable health plans for America’s families.
George Bush took a hit in the last part of his second term, but The Won is sinking way beyond that, into the same range as Nixon forty years ago.
All we need now is for a personally very disillusioned member of this regime, on the order of John Dean, to step out of the shadows, and spill everything that has been going on in secret. Maybe Edward Snowden could have already filled that slot, but he ran away from the US before he could be really effective.
“In their minds, the means always justify the ends”
One of us is dyslexic.
I read the article.
It is too long, in the same way a liar talks too much to try to get out of something.
The concluding paragraph is so mumbling and confusing, it reminds me of why I stopped reading mainstream media like ‘Newsweek’, that used so many big words and convoluted sentences when I could easily read Bill Buckley’s thoughts.
Here it is. It’s maddeningly bad English. I’m not sending my kids to a university:
“In the short-term, Obama is not controlling the way people think about his administration,” says Stuckey, the Georgia State professor. “Obama risks losing the people who were on his side [regarding health care], and a big part of that is he seems to have been duplicitous.”
That's NPR-speak for "is now obviously a bald-faced liar."
I'm surprised that the fourth sentence of the excerpt was allowed past their editor. If they have one.
I would have expected it to read more like this:
"That's all changed now. Obama is perceived by his critics as having claimed, repeatedly, that under the Affordable Care Act, people who liked their health insurance plans could keep them."
This list leaves out his most destructive achievement: trashing what little remained of “family values” in America. Now we have gay “weddings” in the Supreme Court and at West Point, thanks to the One.
President Obama is certainly one of the most trustworthy presidents in my lifetime. We FReepers, for example, knew what he was about even before he was first elected, and he’s held true to that throughout it all. That’s why it wasn’t hard to predict he’d never, ever cooperate with the House to delay Obamacare even though he knew the website wasn’t ready.
President Obama, with all due respect, is simply an ideologue out of his league. He is probably the least qualified person ever elected president, and it shows. The man is our first affirmative action president, and I’m really trying to be fair. Barack Obama was elected based on two reasons: his skin color and his ideology.
The problem is, what happens when someone like that is finally put in a position where people don’t just simply bow down and do whatever he wants? What if he has to cooperate with people who don’t share his ideology and don’t feel guilt at the sight of his skin color? I guess he just goes and plays golf, because President Obama is the opposite of King Midas. Everything he touches turns to crap, and he’s unfortunately our country’s leader for another three years.
Comes into question? There has never been any question in my mind since the '08 campaign. When it comes to trustworthiness obama has none. Nada. Zip. Well, I trust that when faced with a decision he will do whatever is worst for America.
...Terrorist. Traitor. Hater of America. Secret Muslim...
Terrorist? Maybe not by the classical definition, but he certainly supports many terrorists. Traitor - yes, he has done things to weaken America in the face of our enemies. Hater of America - absolutely, no question. Secret Muslim - possibly.
Treason doth never prosper
What’s the reason
For if it prosper
None dare call it TREASON!
I believe that happened like four years ago. Its good that NPR is coming round to it.
A very belated and random act of journalism. Now they can go back to being a propaganda mouthpiece.
