I can´t quite believe that I´ve just sat through ten minutes of BBC television in which British journalists Owen Jones and Zoe Williams have defended Karl Marx as the prophet of the End of Capitalism. Unbelievable because I had thought Marxism was over with the fall of the Berlin Wall--when we discovered that socialism was one part bloodshed, one part farce. [Snip] Sixty-five million were murdered in China--starved, hounded to suicide, shot as class traitors. Twenty million in the USSR, 2 million in North Korea, 1.7 million in Africa. The nightmare of Cambodia (2 million dead) is especially vivid.

the only way to remind them is to remand them
a rope works
My daughter had a teacher at a private “christian” school who promoted and defended communism to her class.....
We’re getting close to the tipping point where they have to admit that they are Marxists, so they need to turn him into a folk hero fast. I’m sure the ABC will give him a sitcom for the mid-season replacements. But, they’ll make him black and he’ll have a fabulous gay friend.
They don’t care. That was different. When people died in Russia, China, Germany, Cambodia, Vietnam, it was all because the right team wasn’t in charge.
In the U. S. they reason it can be done right for the first time.
Truth is though, it always starts with promises of benevolence, and winds up with tens of millions dead.
Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Ho Chi Minh (sp?), Hitler, Obama... the teams all start off with high hopes. And then...
This guy Obama thinks he was voted in God. He wasn’t, and he has all the fine leadership qualities of Barney Fife.
I wonder if they would mind if I brought a few Russian refuseniks I know who ran from the communists?
Last night on PBS News Hour they were bringing out the fact that Lincoln and Marx reached their zenith at about the same and were trying to intimate that Lincoln was kind of intrigued with Carl’s writings and musings, yada, yada, yada...
Rescued from the dust heap of history, and flaunted anew as riches.
Yep, the left loves marx. They will never give up trying to give us communism. Even though it failed miserably, they still want it.
Mark Levin’s book really caps off the fact that utopian ideas are always going to be present whenever there are human beings, and once those ideas are instituted by elites, it creates a living hell for the society. Marx is the contribution of Western Civilization to that, as the Koran is from Islam, monarchy is from ancient times, and rule by theocrat everywhere from the Incas to Asia. Free people are the anomaly. Life is struggle. And here we are again.
thats a drag
They have mistaken Karl for Groucho.
Marxism is nothing less than organized crime. It really is not as complicated as Marx and others implied.
The siren call of the philosophy espoused by Karl Marx has never been stopped completely, and a whole new generation is coming up that have never learned of the failures of this ideology, or choose not to concern themselves with the past failures, because now that THEY are in charge, this time it will “work right”.
Teddy Kennedy truly believed he was the anointed one who could make it “work right”.
But he never got to the Presidency (not that he ever could have, given the events at Chappaquiddick). In his place, he sent first George McGovern, then later Walter Mondale, but had personal and philosophical differences with Jimmy Carter. Billy Jeff was not his personal choice, but that had more to do with jealousy than doctrinal differences. Al Gore was clearly Teddy’s man, as was that barnacle on Massachusetts politics, Jean-Francois Kerre`, but the whole substitute came with the Current Occupant now squatting in the White Hut (or “Spite Hut”).
Marxism will end when its last advocate is pushing up the daisys and perhaps not even then as some new "Academic deep thinker" will come along and resurrect it.
The Left has gone mad (it's not called the zombie apocalypse for nothing). They are not going to listen to you reminding them of anything.
The great falling away has occurred. They are gone.
Get it?
I wish every school could have them visit. Where I live in the State of Washington, people will actually admit they're communist.
