According to a new poll, Democrat Terry McAuliffes lead over Republican Ken Cuccinelli has shrunk to 2 points in the Virginia gubernatorial race (42% to 40%, with Libertarian Robert Sarvis at 13%). At the beginning of the month, McAuliffe was up five points (43% to 38%), suggesting Cuccinelli is gaining momentum going into the last weekend of the election. The survey was conducted October 25 to October 30, with 874 likely voters at a 3.24% margin of error. Despite his slim lead in the poll, 55 percent of Virginia likely voters believe that McAuliffe will be elected, with only 28 percent predicting that Cuccinelli will be their next governor. Twenty percent of self-identified independents are in support of Sarvis, who is leeching votes from Cuccinelli with 11 percent of Republicans supporting his candidacy versus only 6 percent of Democrats who said they would vote for him. All the candidates continue to have higher unfavorable than favorable ratings, with McAuliffes at 37 percent favorable to 52 percent unfavorable and Cuccinelli at 38 percent to 56 percent. Third party candidate Sarvis is also disliked with a 22 percent unfavorable rating and a 19 percent favorable rating. McAuliffes strongest area of support are in the north within Congressional district 8 (75%-13%), district 11 (58%-32) and district 10 (52%-37%). Cuccinelli is winning all the other districts with his strongest support in district 7 at (49% to 27%). Sarvis is pulling support in Cuccinelli areas of district 1 at 13%, district 2 at 16%, district 4 at 20%, district 5 at 16%, district 6 at 18%, and district 7 at 14%.

TEA PARTY SURGE!!!!!
Why is the Libertarian even in this race. If he quits, the RAT loses. Period!!
2 points ,well within the Dems 5% fraud vote , LOL
Wouldn’t be surprised if the funding for Sarvis is coming from the Dems.
He’s a fake, a fraud, a paid political whore, meant to steal votes away from Cuccinelli. That’s why Ron Paul is there supporting the Republican.
The Libertarian has a responsibility to his party and his country to drop out of the race and order all of his supporters to vote for Ken.
It shouldn’t be necessary with the health care debacle ongoing in D.C. Cooch by 5 !
Yeah, but once the dead finish voting.........
I think the odds are long for Cuccinelli, but can you imagine if he wins? The whole narrative about how badly the shutdown hurt the Republicans would immediately disappear. MSNBC might just go black for a day and call it “technical difficulties”
Any libertarian who wastes their vote on a libertarian candidate and not on Cuchinelli, is voting for a Fascist state per Barrack Hussein Obama.
McAuliffe's failure to win could be a powerful indication that the Clinton/Obama team's power grab is beginning to be exposed for what it is--a departure from the ideas of the Virginians whose sacrifices and services made America such a bastion of freedom for over 200 years.
The spirit of Thomas Jefferson must be calling out from Monticello for a return to the ideas of liberty and away from the travesty called "progressive" politics.
"The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time: the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them." - Thomas Jefferson
Yeah, this is a pretty lousy race for a Libertarian voter to vote on principle.
If McAuliffe wins this race it will virtually assure a Democrat victory in VA for the 2016 POTUS race. It is as key a battleground state as there is.
BINGO!-
And they have push pull operators- targeting the
lbertarian against the republican.
And throw in some acorn people to campaign for the
libertarian in conservative districts.
And then the final push - just need 2 thousand
demon voters to vote multiple times- and fill out
dozens of fake absentee ballots- this works for Minneeesota!
Any libertarian who wastes their vote on a libertarian candidate and not on Cuchinelli, is voting for a Fascist state per Barrack Hussein Obama.
Ken must win this race and undoubtedly will will this race. The future of Virginia, the Tea Party and America depends on the outcome of the election.
LaRaza is going to bus in those illegals so they can vote. 2% is not enough...must win. Virginia, what is wrong with you? McCauliff? ReallY?
Now it’s a horserace with Cuccinelli owning the momentum! GO KEN!!!
I think a significant part of Democrat success is their air of invincibility. The media is complicit in that. They won’t report the truth, that Terry McAuliffe is a carpetbagging conman and Clinton crony.
What has Mr. McAuliffe actually accomplished that justifies giving him the most powerful political job in Virginia? Um, nothing. Nevertheless, he’s the anointed Democrat. That and the media shilling for him is pretty much all he needs.
We used to expect our leaders to at least work their way up through the state before handing them a governorship. They had to pay their dues. Now we let ill prepared amateurs rise from obscurity to the presidency in a mere handful of years. How? By virtue of being the anointed Democrat for the job.
