Zimmerman juror says she’s lost her job and received death threats against her kids

A juror in the George Zimmerman trial claims the case ruined her life and says she's had death threats made against her children, lost friends, her job and will soon lose her home as a result of it.

The juror, a 36-year-old mother of eight who only identified herself as Maddy during an interview on Inside Edition Thursday, was the only juror who showed her face when she appeared on Good Morning America in July.

Since then, Maddy says, she's lost her job as an aide at a nursing home and she and her husband have had to sell most of their possessions.

Maddy, who is of Puerto Rican descent, was the only minority juror on the all-female panel that found George Zimmerman not guilty. On the July episode of Good Morning America, she told host Robin Roberts that she believed Zimmerman was guilty of murdering teenager Trayvon Martin.

'My first vote was secondary murder,' she said. 'I was the juror who was going to give them the hung jury. Oh, I was. I fought to the end.'

She said that she and the rest of the jury were unable to prove Zimmerman intentionally killed Martin, and that under law they had to acquit.

'George Zimmerman got away with murder. But you can't get away from God,' she said.

Now, Maddy says that going public as a juror on the divisive case has resulted in ruin.

'My whole life has fallen apart,' she told Inside Edition's Les Trent.....

When asked whether she regrets serving as juror B-29 in the George Zimmerman trial, Maddy's response was unequivocal.

'Yes, I do.'

She had the right to remain silent and anonymous after the trial like the other jurors but she chose otherwise.

Was she paid for her TV appearance?

“She had the right to remain silent and anonymous after the trial like the other jurors but she chose otherwise.”

As long as she’s not blaming her problems on the racist left.

Yes, even though they hate free enterprise, liberals mean business, as she has found out.

?I>'My first vote was secondary murder,' she said. 'I was the juror who was going to give them the hung jury. Oh, I was. I fought to the end.'

What is she saying here? Is she suggesting that she was a part of some sort of jury tampering scheme? If so, she potentially has got a lot more problems heading her way.

She is also too stupid to interpret evidence.

Also, I thought it was “second degree” not “secondary” murder for the charge option?

“the only minority juror on the all-female panel...” Jury of Trayvon Martin’s peers? Jesse Jackson has company.

She knew the uproar surrounding this case because of the left-wing and their rantings. If not, she should have known.

This woman was foolish to go public and appear on national TV shows.

She lost everything because of that. Sorry...she’s up to no good. It’s all about a book....and me, me, me. IIRC, she from Chicago??

Gee, I guess she should’ve kept anonymous rather than trying to go for a little bit of fame/infamy. Live and learn, lady.

Have fun with your racist/idiot friends who want your head for no good reason....hey, isn’t that similar to what Zimmerman had to go through?

Interesting that Seminole County has the largest concentration of Puerto Ricans in the country and she is Puerto Rican and this is home for her — and now she is rejected by her own.

IIRC two other Puerto Ricans were interviewed for the jury and they blatantly blurted out under questioning that Zimmerman, a fellow Hispanic, was guilty of murder even without looking at the evidence.

What is it with Puerto Ricans???

I swear they're tribal....like with voodoo dolls and the like. The ones around here are all druggies.

She was only in that county for 4 moths before the trial. Came from Chicago with 8 kids...doesn't daddy work?? I perceived this was a second hubby...if they are truly married.

You are correct that she didn’t have any obligation to go on teevee, or to talk to any reporter. But the identity of all the jurors will be made public. Six months, and then, the law says, the heat will have died down.

She was stupid. If she had held out for a hung jury she would have become a media darling and made millions in speaking fees. But she went and caved and followed the jury charge.

She must be punished to serve as an example to any other minorities who might think of setting foot off of the racism industry plantation.

A few comments:

1. I can believe the death-threats, even against the children, but why would she lose her job because of this? My BS detector is wiggling a little bit. Is she making excuses for losing her job for some legitimate reason, or did she lose it just by chance at this time and is trying to drum-up sympathy and/or money from the general public or from some special-interest group?

2. If it true that she lost her job because of this, does that violate any law?

3. Is she trying to milk this case for more fame and money by trying to be a victim? Is she angling to be the focus of some made-for-tv movie? Or is she really a victim?

4. If you don't want the reaction, keep your yapper shut. No one forced her into the public eye.
