12-year-old Madison Kimrey of Burlington founded NC Youth Rocks after the North Carolina legislature passed voting restriction laws targeting young people, women, minorities, and the poor.
Sorry,but a 12 year old is the last person anyone should be asking advice from.
My advice to her is for her to earn her chops before lecturing anyone.

That struck me too. I reject the entire premise of this, that the laws were “voting restriction laws” and that they “targeted young people, women, minorities, and the poor”. What shoddy journalism.

Personally, this girl is a shill in my opinion. I do not agree with pre-registration because it serves no legitimate purpose, and it adds a needless burden on ensuring up-to-date voter rolls are correct.
What happens when she pre-registers but moves with her family to another state, yet applies for absentee ballot and votes TWICE in two states.
The fact is these 16 and 17 year olds have rights, BUT NOT voting rights as is legislated in probably every state in this union.

Which part is sarcasm? because the second part is definitely true.
That people elsewhere in N.C. were voting three and four times, often in the same city, with many committing felonies and deciding close races with provisional ballot, were established happenings, documented, even prosecuted on occasion.
What I should have said is that these kids will tell us what’s wrong with the world, from their child like, lack of life experience, lack of context, lack of maturity, point of view.

While I agree with the above statement, advise from a 12 yr. old might be much better than what we are getting from the odumbo administration and it certainly couldn’t be any worse.
