WASHINGTON (AP) Just two weeks after President Barack Obama saw his Democratic Party put up an unyielding front against Republicans, his coalition is showing signs of stress.
From health care to spying to pending budget deals, many congressional Democrats are challenging the administration and pushing for measures that the White House has not embraced.
Some Democrats are seeking to extend the enrollment period for new health care exchanges. Others want to place restraints on National Security Administration surveillance capabilities. Still others are standing tough against any budget deal that uses long-term reductions in major benefit programs to offset immediate cuts in defense.
Though focused on disparate issues, the Democrats' anxieties are connected by timing and stand out all the more when contrasted with the remarkable unity the party displayed during the recent showdown over the partial government shutdown and the confrontation over raising the nation's borrowing limit.

This always happens before an election ... Dems distance themselves from the pres ... after election they will hop right back in bed with him.
Dear Harry and Nancy: Don’t you think it’s time you took that late-night drive to the back door of the White House to tell Obama that he is so sick that he’s going to have to resign? Oh, we all had high hopes for him, but he’s tearing down the party!
They don’t want to be primaried by a Greenie or Occupier.
They will make behind-the-scene-deals as cover while pretending to disapprove Obamacare. Too predictable.
Have no doubt. There’s an excellent chance for a populist leader and party to emerge from all of this. Significant majorities of Americans agree on many issues. They do NOT want immigration amnesty, open borders, government mandated and controlled health care, endless wars overseas, abortion on demand for any reason, etc. I’m not even sure most Americans are keen on having gay marriage crammed down their throats.
The Democrats are the party of the political cram down, and the alternative party, the GOPe, has completely lost touch with voters. Both sides malign the Tea Party (which isn’t even a party in the first place), but the Tea Party is really just a populist, reactionary movement to the out of touch, paternalistic group of political aristocrats in D.C.
To me this is as good as any poll. Obviously, enough Rat and independent constituents aren’t too happy about Obamacare, and are voicing their anger.
You know, since this whole ObamaCare disaster is such a professed shock and surprise to all the politicians , obviously they did not understand the potential pitfalls of the ACA Bill and how it would accomplish what they intended for it to.
Now that they have been shown the reality, it would be a good idea to scrap it.
Yeah, right.
We’ll have to wait and see how many Dems want him campaigning for them the next two election cycles.
Regardless, you know Bubba will be there.
probably not this one..
“The fact is that the administration really failed these Americans,” Rep. Allyson Schwartz, D-Pa., told Medicare chief Marilyn Tavenner at a hearing this week. “So going forward there can be just no more excuses.”
or Joe Manchin
It has been said that some things so disgusting, low and vile that even some democrats won’t go there.
But no one alive has ever seen it happen.
The poll numbers are coming in and these Dim-wits are learning that all the Bravo Sierra about them “winning” the shutdown was a lie. The Rats are trying to get off the ship.
The Fascists are just distancing themselves for the half wits, like you said. The lowfo voters always believe the Asspress and Yahoo’s.
