HARRISBURG Voters' anger at Congress is boiling over because of the government shutdown, polling shows, but it's unclear whether the foul mood will have any impact on statewide judicial elections, political analysts say. Retention races for Supreme Court justices and Superior Court judges are the top races in the Nov. 5 election, which will include city, county, township, borough and school district races. Two Supreme Court justices and two Superior Court judges are running for 10-year terms in contests decided by yes or no selections. Pennsylvania judges have nothing to do with Congress, said Justice Max Baer of Mt. Lebanon. I don't think it'll affect us. I believe we will all be retained.

Question: I keep hearing how angry people were at the government “shutdown” (17 or 18 % anyway) but I haven’t run across any of them personally. Are “those” people angry because the feel that way or because the government told them they were supposed to feel that way?
Both these guys also voted against the first state legislative redistricting plan and kept the old lines in place for the 2012 election.
I think this was an attempt to give the Democrats a chance to ride Obama’s wave and gain seats and or control of the legislature which they failed to do in 2012.
Baer is a Democrat and Castille a Specterite Republican (ALL BUT A DEMOCRAT) worse than a RINO.
NO on Castille and Baer next Tuesday November 5th.
Governor Tom Corbett will appoint two RINO’s if we vote these bums out, but I just have to settle for that.
There need to be consequences for such bad decisions; as such, these two need to be shown the door next week.

Except for the pain purposely inflicted by Obama who was actually damaged by the shutdown? My guess is the big losers were Obama and the GOPe.
I always vote no on retention of these judges. They should always be accountable for the job they do each election. Beside that, I am against any retirement of elected positions.
Thanx for the heads up
