They are by far the most professional police organization in California. Did you read what you posted before you posted it. I expect you are bias in some fashion. I have no basis or facts to dispute the opinion you posted. But that drips of irony and satire (regardless of the LEO department that claims the honor you bestow in your post).
Again, I'm not saying you are wrong, just that the statement is preposterous. If I were to make it more plausible, I'd write it this way, "The are (a) police organization in California." But then, your point would be lost.

To some of us. Others, well... hell, people elected Hitler to Chancellor, I suppose, and went along with Pol Pot, and supported the King of England in America. There's always a few.
There are always more than a few. There are always enough enablers to set in motion an inordinate amount of eventual bloodshed. It's a disgusting human proclivity.

I see. If ONE parole violating felon injures a cop, it's open season on EVERYONE until he's caught.
Little old ladies delivering morning papers.
Commuters just cleared from a checkpoint.
and it's A-OK to burn down any house he holes up in.
Got it.

So “mouthing off” merits having a weapon pointed at your face? If the guy said another word, then it’s OK to shoot him?

Yes, the third book became available for free download today. I snagged it. I’m still reading the first book.

I thought he (Hitler) won one election? Am I wrong there? Let me go check. Not to hijack you, Laz, but Gator's right. He never won an election in which he personally stood as a candidate.

There are always more than a few. There are always enough enablers to set in motion an inordinate amount of eventual bloodshed. It's a disgusting human proclivity. We see it on full display right on this thread. It is good to know, even those 'in our ranks' might break line and falter, to sweetly lick the leather-gloved fist.
It is an important task to weed out those we know to be dependable, versus those who will not be.

Been going on for a long time. Late one night, years ago during the search for Patty Hurst and her terrorist buddies, I was helping a friend tow his dead WV back to the garage. We were stopped by the cops. My friend, who's father was cop at the time said, “Relax, man. I know how to handle this.” Before I could stop him, he vaulted from the car to walk back to the cops. Cop on the loudspeaker: “DRIVER! GET BACK IN THE VEHICLE!” More cops begin arriving on the scene. “PLACE BOTH HANDS OUTSIDE THE WINDOW!” Cop walks up on the driver's side. Looks at the towed VW. Looks at my friend and asks “What's in the vehicle?” Sensing this to be the right moment for a little levity, my friend giggles and responds, “Ha-ha...PATTY HURST, MAN!” Ahem, there is a distinct sound to multiple magnum revolvers being drawn from holsters, and a particularly menacing glint to deeply polished blued steel in the moonlight, such that I shall never forget.

Nope, but if he doesn’t respond to the gun in his face, and he continues to be non-cooperative, it’s ok to haul his ass out of the car at gunpoint

Maybe not now. Kinda looks like he might be a d!ck.I dont know whether the photographer had a motive of his own or came upon the scene a minute late or hates guns, or what.
I try not to jump to conclusion.
I am VERY objective and normally give LEO the benefit of the doubt where there are questions (which irritates a lot of FReepers sometimes). But unless this driver threatened to kill somebody by detonating a device, I can think of little else that would warrant a rifle muzzle being held 10" from his face. They said it was a checkpoint.
By the way, you do realize that if the driver would have had darker skin color, your comment would be racist, right?

Again,,,this a roadblock. Theyre looking for an armed killer involved in a shootout that wounded several others.
No one is arguing that the circumstances were casual. Nor that a roadblock in itself is not warranted.
And what if hes an accomplice? What if hes hiding the killer in his car?
That's the risk you take when you enter law enforcement. If you can't handle that situation with less aggressive force than our soldiers in an active war zone you should not be involved in policing the citizenry.
You should be at home, playing Call of Duty.

Same as the Old World Order I see...Yup. They're just selling it with the "New and Improved!" sales pitch like its laundry detergent. Same principle really.

And what if hes an accomplice? What if hes hiding the killer in his car?Put yourself behind the wheel of that car. You are driving home from Burger King with your Big Whopper, extra ketchup, pickles, onions, medium Pepsi and a super-sized order of fries. Now you have a jackboot with a tactical weapon pointed at your gullet. How do you feel?
