CHANDLER, AZ - Four boys have been arrested and booked into a juvenile detention center for brutally beating a kitten to death earlier this month, police said.
Sgt. Joe Favazzo, spokesman for the Chandler Police Department, said surveillance video turned into authorities, depicts six boys repeatedly abusing a young kitten.
The incident occurred on Oct. 14, but wasnt reported to police until the next day.
According to police, the six boys between the ages of 7 and 12 years old -- initially start to play with the playground equipment. It shows that they have a small dog and a kitten with them, however, the situation quickly turns dangerous for the kitten. According to the surveillance video, the boys begin to push the dog down the slide, forcing it to run into the kitten.

I cannot watch the video. I hope these kids get what’s coming to them and repent afterwards. I know if I did something like that, it would haunt me. BTW, those kids ought to be thankful they are not in ancient Egypt, the willful killing of a cat would most likely get one the death penalty. The Egyptian goddess, Bastet, was believed to be the protector of cats and those who cared or them. IIRC, St. Francis of Assisi was an animal lover too and he is their patron saint.
Meaning....??? If you have something to say, say it. Otherwise...
To quote Tom Servo, “You don’t have to be Sigmund Freud ...”
Of course, I was not referring to the harvesting of animals for food, like cattle, chickens, deer, fish, pork. The torture is wrong. These chumps are sick MO FOs.
Democrats-in-training.
And??? You see something inconsistent with being against torture in this??? I’m a pro-capital punishment conservative. Get over it. (And no, I’m sure they won’t get the “death penalty”, so don’t get your panties in a knot.)
I adore cats and despise children, but also hope that they get the help that they need.
This is a ‘confession’ thread, that the NCIS is going to mine for data... :o)
The typical 12 year old isn't old enough to *fully* understand things like this. And as for a 7 year old...give me a break! Consequences? OK.Serious intervention for both? Absolutely.Felony charges for either? Not at 12...or 7.
What alternative reality do you live in?? 12 year olds aren’t old enough to “fully” understand cruelty, torture and killing??? Give ME a BREAK! Yeah, they need some “serious intervention” all right... we’ll just have to disagree on what that should be. Go ahead and coddle. That thinking is part of how we got where we are today.
Should read “alternate reality” but “alternative to reality” works just as well.
Yes,I've seen it written many times that cruelty to animals by a child can be a danger sign of a psychopath in the making.I suppose that could be true of one or more of the kids involved here. But at this age I say give them the benefit of the doubt regarding *felony* charges and sentence them, instead,to serious psychiatric intervention.
I just don’t have that much faith in “psychiatric” help. Not in the least — especially if the little monsters are re-released on society after getting “cleared” by these same psychiatrists.... No, thank you.
Not if you had anything to say about it, I guess!
You're on record!
Most kids have to be taught civilized behavior, even some of the quiet ones have the capacity for cruelty. Todays. school often make the big mistake of taking games and sports away due to their Lawyer puppetmasters. Kids need. constructive ways to release and gain control of this energy. Some treat lively children as annoying problems to be pilled into submission.
At 12 (and younger) I'm prepared to "coddle"...at least when it comes to felony charges. So what's *your* solution? Execution? Or are you prepared to go easy on them and give them all 30 years? Did you do anything extremely stupid at 12...or younger? I did.And I suffered the consequences from my parents. But during the 45 years that I've been considered an "adult" by the law I've never been arrested for *littering*,let alone anything more serious.Maybe, just maybe, the same thing will happen to these kids if they get what for from their parents and/or others *without* the felony charge.
Have you considered the possibility that one of the kids learned this stuff from watching his father/uncle/next door neighbor or from having seen a sicko video that a relative might have on a computer or a DVD? If,by chance,*that's* the explanation do you *still* give them 30 years?
