Vindication? 'Reviled' Sen. Ted Cruz: 'It's becoming harder and harder' ... to defend ObamaCare
FoxNews ^ | 10/23/2013 | Greta van Sustern

This is a rush transcript from "On the Record," October 23, 2013. This copy may not be in its final form and may be updated.

GRETA VAN SUSTEREN, FOX HOST: This is a FOX News alert. A seismic shift in ObamaCare sentiment on Capitol Hill. Now several Democratic lawmakers, President Obama's health care allies, are calling for heads to roll.

But that's not all. Also breaking tonight, Democrats up for re- election in 2014 are scrambling to find solutions to the problem of that crumbling website, including many of them calling for the extension of the enrollment period.

But there is more stunning news tonight. Some Democrats even calling for a delay of the individual mandate.

Moments ago, we spoke with Senator Ted Cruz.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

VAN SUSTEREN: Senator, nice to see you, sir.

SEN. TED CRUZ, R-TEXAS: Greta, it's always nice to be with you.

VAN SUSTEREN: A lot of big news today Democrats having a different sentiment towards ObamaCare. At least a lot of them are calling for extension in enrollment period. Two Democrats have called for individual mandate to be extended one year or delayed one year. I imagine you are watching this with some sort of sense of -- what?

CRUZ: Well, look, it's clear this thing isn't working. And it's becoming harder and harder for Democrats to defend. During the last two months, as we have been debating ObamaCare, very few have tried to debate it on the substance. And I think the American people are seeing it's not working. You have got the disasters with the website. But more broadly, you have got the impacts that are happening with jobs. It's the biggest job killer in the country. It's forcing people to part time work.

Cruz would have to be deceased for a year or more in order for his IQ to lower to that of the Obamadorn/cretin/community-organizer/quota-baby

So, a week ago they voted to put down the “Tea Party,” rebellion and conservatives who were keeping the government shut down (actually less than 15% of it) so that the democrats and the President would have to delay ObamaCare.

We were told by the DNC and the MSM that this was tantamount to destroying America because of their hatred for ObamaCare. We were told that these wild eyed Tea Party extremists and conservatives were willing to destory the country because they wanted to de-rail the president’s signature legislation. We were told that the DNC and the president were “firm,” and would not agree to a delay of any sort.

Finally, the GOP establishment leadership caved in a week ago and the Senate and then the House voted to end the shutdown and put the Tea Party in its place.

Now...ONE WEEK LATER...these democrats are lining up with Marco Rubio and calling for the same delay that the Tea Party fought for?

They want us to believe that somehow, a week later, everything has changed, and this is now their idea? Their rescue of the President’s boondoggle?

How could anyone have voted for this monster, Obamacare?

The primary difference between Obama and Cruz is that Obama’s supporters MUST support him because he is black, or a Muslim, or promises them everything they don’t have the capacity to work for and earn while Cruz’s supporters only value his ideals and real love of this country for what it is: hard work, values, and honesty.

One group takes continued and ever-increasing pandering; the other just takes commitment and patriotism without monetary compensation.

It's funny, but I'm old enough to remember that selling anything to Americans was the ultimate test in salesmanship...They were SO demanding of quality, honesty and fair-dealing!

NOW... Americans have become SO conditioned to what is FREE that they are positively hooked on mediocrity. They'll accept all sorts of patently dishonest scams and glaring deficiencies in quality, SO LONG as a thing is FREE! That magic word.

Pathetic! The concept of 'value for money' is certainly dead.

No one his his right mind could call “O’care” honest, and fair, either in its conception or delivery (such as it is).

So, a week ago they voted to put down the “Tea Party,” rebellion and conservatives who were keeping the government shut down (actually less than 15% of it) so that the democrats and the President would have to delay implementation of the ObamaCare individual mandate.

We were told by the DNC and the MSM that this was tantamount to destroying America because of their hatred for ObamaCare. We were told that these wild eyed Tea Party extremists and conservatives were willing to destory the country because they wanted to de-rail the president’s signature legislation. They want us to believe that somehow, a week later, everything has changed, and this is now their idea? Their rescue of the President’s boondoggle?

These people are so unbelievably mental and delusional. They take all of America for fools, and are betting that we are too stupid and too distracted to notice.

They are now proposing to do the same thing that the Tea Party and conservatives like Ted Cruz called for...and now want us to believe that it is “their,” idea and that somehow, because the Tea Party wanted to do this it was horrible...it was bad...it was a travesty that would destroy America. But now that they want to do the same damn thing it is all of a sudden a good thing?

They are simply afraid of the 2014 election. They knew all along how bad ObamaCare was, and they fought efforts to honestly delay it and allow the American people time to either fix it, or reject it. These flim-flam artists and con-men need to be HAMMERED. Whether they are democrats are establishment GOP, does not matter. for the good of this nation, these liars and scheisters need to go.

It’s a sickening and disgusting specticle by the most dishonorable, untrustworthy, selfish, vain, and corrupt bunch of carepet baggers, scalawags, and slimy polliwogs that have ever inhabited the halls of congress or the White House.

The interview is worth reading. Cruz wasn't gloating, but he certainly did articulate that he got it right. He came out in front of the problem, he survived and got stronger from the venom of the RINOs, he's now bringing the issue to "let's look at what's inside" with Obamacare.

I hope it gets him the Republican nomination. He'll be the next president if that happens. Or do the RINOs really want hillary or some other has-been over the hill loser?

What good is delaying the individual mandate with thousands of people getting their health insurance cancelled? Obamacare needs to be repealed so these people can get their policies back.

If your issue really is all those out there with pre-existing conditions or too poor to swing the premium...we can take care of all of them for a TINY FRACTION of what Obamacare costs. And without upsetting everybody else’s applecart.

“By about January 15 Cruz will be the most popular man in America.”

He’s already there in my America. Nothing beats being RIGHT, and Ted Cruz seems to GET IT and SAY IT better than any other American in a generation. That’s right. Ted Cruz is a once in a generation American.

“These people are so unbelievably mental and delusional. They take all of America for fools, and are betting that we are too stupid and too distracted to notice.”

Are they wrong? How many people believe that Bush made up that Iraq had chemical weapons? How many more people think that Iraq never had chemical weapons? ...this despite Clinton talking about them during every speech he gave, anywhere he spoke, for over a year; despite repeated news coverage of the materials being sampled and inventoried?

How many people in 2004 didn’t recall the Bush National Guard ‘scandal’ from 2000, and thought it was all new when breathlessly brought up again after having previously shown to be drivel?

The supply of gullible is huge. They don’t need to convince everyone, just enough.

Ding. Ding. Ding. Further proof that this is an intentional strategy to bring down America. 'Fundamental transformation' indeed.
