For liberals, it is a cruel twist of history that Harry Truman's dream of universal health coverage, carried forward by generations of committed Democrats, should fall to the Obama administration for its fulfillment.
Barack Obama seems to have adopted this cause in January 2007 as a last-minute speech insert. "We needed something to say," one adviser told Politico. "I can't tell you how little thought was given to that thought other than it sounded good." Eventually, the Affordable Care Act was passed by a partisan vote, draining the law of legitimacy outside the Democratic Party. Over the next three years, Obama proved incapable of explaining Obamacare's virtues and its popularity fell. Then its implementation was entrusted to a Cabinet secretary, Kathleen Sebelius, who gratuitously alienated religious groups and massively bungled the law's rollout.

If Truman had gotten his wish - socialized medicine, our medical technology would not have progresses much since then.
No, 0bunga-care doesn’t need a doctor.
It needs a euthanist.
So January 1 will see those big premium increases. And the gubmint won’t have anything to show for it. That will go over well.
Dr. Kevorkian
I just learned with certainty that my doctor has fired my Medicare Advantage provider.
Now I must go through the considerable chore of finding a ned insurer
No it isn't. It was designed to fail from the get-go so the DemonRATS could implement their true goal of 100% socialized medicine and government run health care to fix the problem that it created.
ObaMao's recent taunts to the GOP that "maybe they need to win a few elections before they can attempt changes" makes me more sure of this than ever. I find it amazing that every Democrat (and RINO) has closed ranks and supported BO. Almost like they've been told they will never have to worry about winning another election.
The fraud machine which BO launched in 2008 suffered a few hiccups in 2010 but was further perfected in 2012. Short of a massive shift in 2014, I believe that we will have by then fully descended into the status of a banana republic where those controlling the sham election process will know the results beforehand.
I want to be on its death panel.
Obamacare in Need of a Undertaker
Better title.
I love it ...Obamacare, Obama’s signature achievement ,is a failure
Under reported inflation by the massive printing of fiat money from thin air.
Price a value meal at McD’s in 2008 and compare it to now.
Shocking rise with very little inflation reported by our officials at the Government Misinformation Center.
Bump
You are more then right about that.
Well done Communist-in-Chief, well done!

Obamacare needs no doctor. Why have a medical state medical system when it is requiring additional coverage?
OR ARE INSURANCES PLANNING ON BEING PAID TWICE OR THREE TIMES?
one for fixing obamacare, two for covering people through it, three for requiring additional coverage privately.
Stupid is as stupid does.
I think you're right that the nation is being transformed into a banana republic, but I don't think it's because of a "rigged" election process. Yes, voter fraud exists. However, the problem is a majority of people in this country want all kinds of things and think that others should pay for them.
We see this playing out in a bunch of different ways besides the welfare class that is already indoctrinated in dependence. Young people are marrying later. They are having fewer children. They are being treated as children late into their 20's. Public education indoctrinates their students in collectivism and the evil of free markets and each generation is becoming less oriented towards freedom and personal responsibility. The result is the public wants the govt to be their daddy. The public wants the nanny state.
When talking with young people about the obamacare roll out and it's failure they typically say "it'll get fixed". They don't agree that this is an indicator of how govt run healthcare will function when life and death decisions are being made. The public doesn't see that the end result of a nanny state is tyranny and a few ruling over the many.
Assumes facts not in evidence.
The answer is first, national repentance before God and second, healthy competition in every facet of the economy. Government needs alternative systems which work in competition against it.
