Its hard to imagine a more divisive political figure in the United States today than Ted Cruz.
The freshman US Senator from Texas drives liberals and Democrats crazy. If anything, he drives many of his fellow conservatives and Republicans that is, the members of Congress trying to compete with President Obama through traditional legislative means even crazier.
Hes the face of a newly-revived tea party movement thats as much a threat to the establishment GOP as it is to Democrats. And as much as any other individual in US politics today, Sen. Cruz was responsible for the 16-day partial federal shutdown and up-to-the-edge government default, cheerleading House tea partiers to the detriment of Speaker John Boehners position.
US Rep. Peter King (R) of New York says his fellow Republican is either a fraud or totally incompetent for having instigated a shutdown strategy focused on killing the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) that had no chance of succeeding.
Yet for all the broken political crockery strewn along Pennsylvania Avenue between Capitol Hill and the White House, theres no one who has been more successful at articulating his message, gathering a substantial minority of like-minded lawmakers to his cause, and riveting the attention of political activists, pundits, and those in office feeling the broad disgruntlement of the American electorate today....

I love the cartoon. It needs to be sent to every republican senator.
What’s with everyone being concerned about Cruz being a “freshman” Senator? All of the toads in the “media” bring that up. Wasn’t the clown sitting in the White House a “freshman” Senator? The turds in the “media” never seemed to have a problem with that.
Obama popped into my mind within 3 micro-seconds (I'm getting slow...).
And as much as any other individual in US politics today, Sen. Cruz was responsible for the 16-day partial federal shutdown and up-to-the-edge government default...
So, Senator Cruz is no more responsible for the shutdown
than Barak Obama. I get it.
If you don't count Baraq Obama and Harry Reid.
Personally, I find it refreshing that Sen Cruz actually sees it as his job to challenge the status quo.
I also heard lots of BS from the MSM babblers that said Cruz's actions are "unprecidented" (a word they love to use). In fact many legislative sessions were very contentious as was our constitutional convention. But jeez, why let facts and history get in the way of partisan rhetoric?
Divisive is good!
I love his courage.
TED CRUZ:
I haven't read the rest of the artice. But Obama is a far more divisive political figure than Ted Cruz.
You can usually tell where writers are going by whether or not they capitalize “Tea Party” in their articles.
You’re not familiar with the Christian Science Monitor?
I’m just so thrilled there’s someone actually there in the Senate who genuinely reflects my views. And I’m glad of my efforts to get him there. During the Dewhurst/Cruz primary, I got over a dozen GOP voters (certain folks who normally never bother with primaries) to go to the polls and vote Cruz. The selling point that swayed them? I told them of Palin’s endorsement. That clinched it.
Go, Ted, go!
Familiar enough.
The WaPo had at least 2 articles today, one of which capitalized, one of which did not.
Below the radar LSM bias, IMHO.
>> whether or not they capitalize Tea Party in their articles. <<
.
Did you mean “TEA Party?”
we need a Bull Dozer to fill in the cesspool.
I don’t understand why the media worships the black conman either...
