Members of Congress and their staffs are on red alert tonight for a CBS 60 Minutes investigation by veteran CBS reporter Steve Kroft and Government Accountability Institute (GAI) President and Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large Peter Schweizer exposing how lawmakers convert campaign donations into lavish lifestyle upgrades for themselves and their family members.
Sources say top CBS executives thought the report was so explosive that they made it the shows lead story and delayed airing it for another week in order to capture tonights much larger NFL-viewing audience. The report features selected revelations from Schweizers forthcoming book, Extortion: How Politicians Extract Your Money, Buy Votes, and Line Their Own Pockets.

“Show me a politician who is poor, and I’ll show you a poor politician.”
I'll tune in. It looks like they may even pick on the progressives.
let’s see... it’ll be about three congressmen, at least two Republicans and the accusations will be based on out-of-context “anonymous” statements based on no actual evidence but something someone said to someone in a bar and a few disgruntled ex-employees and maybe a few leftist lobbyists that just happened to contribute to Obama that didn’t get the money because of the eeeeevvvvvil Republican leadership..
pass.
Come with thousands-————>leave with millions.
showz ya what a lost herd the media is, huh?
If they only pick on Republicans, I can live with that. We’ve been sold out on just about everything by RINOs who want our votes but don’t give a damn about our values. This will help us know which saboteurs need to be primaried.
Oh, I’m sure Nanzi Pelosi will jump right on it...
Using the IRS to squelch free speech is a STORY.
60 Minutes, however, spends their time on this...
Great work, guys. So proud.
But, maybe, a good representative.
I am always amazed at how stupid or bought off her voter contingent is.
The only fairness ever on 60 Minutes was maybe thirty years ago, when Mike Wallace tore apart that McMartin Preschool travesty.
Trust in Government Nears Record Low,

Just 19% say that they trust the government in Washington to do what is right just about always or most of the time, down seven points since January.

The power of “compounding” is soon to follow.
Oooooh...that gave me a neck-tweaking pisschill.
I rarely, if ever, watch “60 Liberals,” er...I mean “60 Minutes,” but the expose on congress-critters engaging in insider trading was very good. I think it aired earlier this year, with Steve Croft.
Because of this airing, the laws were changed. How great it must have been for members of Congress to know in advance that a defense contractor was going to be building a major weapons system, and then to be able to legally purchase stock in that contractor before the news was made public.
From what I understand, the practice was made legal once again, allowing the staff members of the congress critters to engage in insider trading. Gee, I wonder if these staff members are buying stock on the congressman’s behalf? Guess I don’t have to wonder.
A story I really found interesting was when 60 Minutes aired silent footage of a film depicting a ride down Market Street in San Francisco. It was very clear and detailed, and experts determined the footage was shot just days before the Great San Francisco Earthquake and Fire in 1906.
The film survived because it was put on a train for the East a day after it was filmed.
Harry Reid LIVES in the Ritz.
There will be no mention of him, or Pelosi, or Feinstein.
Let’s hope those Vichy Repubs like McCain and McConnell are included in the expose.
This will be on AIR at 730PM with a football game before it that might delay the start
Forgive me for being underwhelmed.
In 2011, Kroft and Schweizer teamed up for a 60 Minutes investigation based on Schweizers New York Times bestseller, Throw Them All Out. The results rocked official Washington, as the exposé revealed that Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was given insider access to the Visa credit card IPO, wherein she made a 50% profit on her investment in just two days. The report also alleged that Rep. Spencer Bachus (R-AL) engaged in insider trading, prompting an ethics investigation and Bachus stepping down from his chairmanship of the Financial Services Committee. Schweizers book ultimately led to passage of the STOCK (Stop Trading On Congressional Knowledge) Act banning congressional insider trading. Throw Them All Out was the book that started the STOCK Act stampede, reported Slate.
No and either will Ostupido but you can bet Republicans will be highlighted.
