The Red Lobster customer accused of writing 'none n*****' on the tip line of his check is so confident he didn't make the slur that he hired a forensics expert to evaluate his handwriting.
The forensics expert evaluated both 20-year-old Devin Barnes' handwriting and that of his wife and concluded:
'There is evidence to indicate that Devin Barnes did not write the total entry. No significant handwriting characteristic similarities were noted.'
Now Mr Barnes and his wife plan on taking legal action against the chain, after receiving numerous death threats when the photo went viral.
'They were extremely rude, but I introduced myself to them and they didn't respond. When I came to take their order they simply told me they wanted their food and to put everything in a to-go box. I offered them dessert but they told me abruptly that they just wanted the check.
'When I went back to the table they had gone and left the receipt and had written in the comments.'
While Mr Barnes admits that he didn't tip Miss Jenkins, he says it wasn't him that wrote the slur.
He explains that the couple asked for their meal to go after getting a call about a family emergency.
Miss Jenkins said she believes him and posted the picture to make a comment about racism, not to draw attention to herself.....
He does question why the chain didn't investigate the incident more and says he and his wife are looking into legal action......
In wake of the picture going viral, more than 1,000 people contributed to a fund to raise 10,000 in 'tips' for Miss Jenkins which she says is going towards buying a car, paying for school and helping her church.

“One of my co-workers started using pen cameras when they were talking to one of the black dudes who hated whitey”
This was the late 90’s. I bought the smallest recorder I could and carried it in my shirt pocket. I could turn it on while reaching for my ink pen. I had a set of carefully labeled tapes so I had a record of various conversations. You never knew which employee was going to use a conversation with you to “go for the gold.” I was conscious of when I was being baited and never rose to the bait. The guys who got in trouble were not politically savvy and would let themselves be drawn in. It was a game. None of the blacks actually managed to get money out of the company (to my knowledge) but they did damage careers.
How right you are --
Brawley.
He should have had the handwriting expert check against the waitress’ handwriting.
LOL.
Sounds like Red Lobster is a problem for these instances.
I’m wondering how Red Lobster allowed a copy of that receipt to be made public???
For that alone they they should have fired little Tawana wannabe and for that alone they will pay dearly.
It sounded pretty fishy from the start.
Perhaps Tawana Brawley and Al Sharpton should be consulted on this.
“The guys who got in trouble were not politically savvy and would let themselves be drawn in. It was a game.”
Exactly. I got cornered a couple of times and my usual answers were “Dude, do you play Grand Theft Auto? I’m on level 5 now” or “hey, that chick over at accounting is hot, you think I have a chance?” Always trying to change the subject. If you don’t know you’re being conned, you won’t get far in life. Office politics at it’s best s/
and yet 1000 people online sent her money.
Go figure —
The old Race Card ain't what it used to be.
Some universities may even be establishing master degree programs to prepare minorities to pursue claims.
She walked away with a cool quarter of a mil in donations.
Yeah, sure. You know as well as I do that the crack whore will snort that entire $10K roll before her "church" sees a penny, the lying skank bag.
LMAO!!!
We never use a credit card at restaurants anymore. We ALWAYS take cash now.
Where do I go to cash in on some bullying???
Having to pay cash at restaurants...carrying hidden cameras...having our handwriting checked...having to watch everything we say and do...is this some of that “white privilege” I keep hearing about?
What a clever scam. Almost as good as the one in Jena, Louisiana.
Absolutely - do a handwriting analysis on HER. Sounds like the old ‘lynch rope in the university’ trick, to me. They didn’t tip her, SHE wrote it in spite. Could well be.
Since leaving west Tennessee, I doubt that I have seen more then five blacks in the last five years. I have seen none in
my town of residence.
