A stenographer from the House of Representatives was forcibly removed from the floor Wednesday evening during the vote to end the partial government shutdown and raise the debt ceiling after an odd outburst.
Dianne Reidy, 48, made her way to the Speaker’s Chair while the vote was taking place, “ranting about God, Free Masons and the inability of the nation to serve two members,” The Washington Times reports.
“Praise be to God,” she said. “He will not be mocked, He will not be mocked. Don’t touch me. He will not be mocked.”
She was also heard saying in an audio recording: “The greatest deception here is this is not one nation under God. It never was. Had it been, it would not have been. No. It would not have been. The Constitution would not have been written by Free Masons. They go against God. You cannot serve two masters. You cannot serve two masters. Praise be to God, the Lord Jesus Christ. Praise forever.”
Reidy says the Holy Spirit made her to do it.

People seem to assume she is mentally ill- she was stable in her work life, has a husband, 2 children and believes in God. Go figure;^)

That verse came to my mind as well...
Your comment was well put. I think a lot of us are troubled by her message and the implications it has for our romantic ties to the county. It seems everything has a seam or thread of darkness intertwined with that which is good. It's an age old battle and one that continues until the end. Pursue the truth, for it and the Almighty will set men free.
Many are blinded and without ears - just as foretold. Not a lot can be done about it except pray they awake before it’s too late. I hold little hope that enough in DC will pay attention to her message to change their ways. We know what happens after the Almighty issues warnings that aren’t heeded.
I refuse to argue with people who cannot see or hear. It is called stubbornness and is arrogant. I say things twice and after that refuse to be interrogated, figure they won’t understand anyway.
More then half the population is blind or deaf, that is no surprise at this point.
I agree that prayer is warranted at this point...

Remember that crazy ol' character Gene Scott? Now that guy was running his own personality cult and web of deception but one thing he used to say was the spot on truth: the devil likes to camp out on the truth.
While the irony (or rather, projection) was that he and his "ministry" were doing exactly that, he inadvertantlty provided a whole 'nuther avenue of understanding. The catch was do do exactly as he also said, only WRT his own teachings-- don't park your brains at the door of a church.
I mention him because I often think of the "devil camps out on the truth" concept. The bigger the message, the bigger the camp. That has really become SOP in the information age. The media is always camping. The truth can't be hidden outright, so it must be twisted, perverted, redefined, and presented in such a way that people either will dismiss it as crazy talk, or so they won't even realize that what they are being told is a lie.
Your seam/thread of darkness metaphor is an excellent analogy. Black and white threads wound together, or a small b/w weave on a fabric, will look gray at a distance. Different ink/pixel concentration on a printed page can produce varying shades of gray. Words are designed to describe objects, concepts, and actions, but are maliciously used to mischaracterize these as well.
Another passage that came to mind regarding the stenographer (scribe):
Luke 19:37-40
37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
The message will get out even if it is delivered by a rock. This lady could have been a rock; it doesn't change the message. Whatever/whoever does the job. In the NT, even those possessed by devils would come out of the rocks and bushes and start blurting out the truth.

One might be prone to consider what she said in the context of what happened at the Democrat convention in 2012. Recall they denied God three times. Many compared that moment to Peter denying Christ.
I submitted then and again now...it was more a Joshua 24 moment. In fact as I watched that scene unfold live the very words that came to mind at the time were..."as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

If we were talking about you, the latter would be a real possibility, but Dianne is a true servant of Yeshua, and she has served the Holy Spirit’s warning to the US Congress.
He is not kidding either.
Whether you like it or not, the message that she delivered to the Congress is your business, and mine too.
We need that kind of reality, right now, not more feel-good BS to grease our descent.
