The co-creator of Fox's "Glee" has revealed plans to end the series, Us Weekly reports. Ryan Murphy told reporters Wednesday in L.A. that the musical series will end its run next year after six seasons.
The end of the show appears to be linked to the death of Cory Monteith, one of its stars.

The only people who are surprised by this cancellation are high school students.
The network will thrust the following throbbing substitutes into the gaping time slot:
“Gay” — a touching, biting, yet turgid dramedy about fun-loving homosexuals and the bitter agonies the poor characters suffer at the hands of smug, self-righteous fundamentalist radicals.
“The Happy Homos” — a turgid, biting, yet touching look at carefree homosexuals who suffer unspeakable abuse from radical fundamentalists.
“Queer Like Me” — a biting, turgid, yet touching examination of the angst-ridden lifestyle of gay victims of fundamentalist and radical oppression.
Sodomites, including the current POS-POTUS, are in for a hugely unpleasant surprise when Jesus sits on the Great White Throne of judgment and confirms to them what their conscience
has been screaming at them all along. Sodomy is an ABOMINATION in the eyes of the Creator, who created them male and female.
Actually, the show was "hot" - in the sense of a fad - back in 2010/2011. It got about 80% of the numbers that CBS' flagship CSI was getting.
And, it was getting a much larger chunk than most shows of the 18-49 demographic that advertisers love.
But in the past two years its viewership has declined by 50%.
Tastes change quickly, and people got bored.
Exactly. I used to watch the show with my girlfriend. By season three I told her the homosexual propaganda was too outrageous. The show also bashed conservatives at every turn as the show progressed. I think each and every episode a new homosexual character was revealed by the time we stopped watching.
Agree. Its popular like a German victory parade in Paris was “popular” with the French who were told to wave flags. Total PC crap
I never saw one either.
I owe a lot to this show.
It finally taught me how to use the remote to block a show from being viewed.
Now we can be ‘gleeful’’ again................
May 2015 they are only in season 5. That is still a lot of crap to show the uneducated.
I agree with your assessment. First year and start of 2nd were enjoyable. The music productions were impressive. After that I Stopped watching.
Yeah. Even if it didn’t have any gay stuff, I can’t imagine subjecting myself to Glee, ever. “Hey I would really love to watch a TV show about high school with singing and dancing, but the only one on is tainted with all this fruity gay stuff.”
Freegards
Yeah, I thought that was odd too. It seems like all of the home buy/sell/remodel/etc shows have an extremely high number of gay couples. Odd.
I tried to watch it ONCE
Some stupid 30 year old pretending to be a high school was making an announcement to the group. The great new was that him and his boyfriend were back together again! (yay! much applause)
And not only that,... he was PLANNING TO ASK HIM TO MARRY HIM!!! (BIG YAY!! MUC MORE APPLAUSE)
After I got done wanting to throw up, I explained to my daughter that this was NOT reality, it was propaganda, and the reason for the propaganda is all more laws and more government control...
How long can these “students” stay in high school any way?
Could you imagine what these producers would do with a remake of the Walton’s ;-)
They’ve taken previous great pieces of music, and “did the dog”.
Never watched more than a few moments of it. Always struck me as along the lines of Cop Rock which I remember watching for 15 minutes before the overwhelming urge to hurl. Nothing lost.
“How long can these ‘students’ stay in high school any way?”
I was wondering the same thing about Trayvon’s “girlfriend”
Rachel Jontael. Maybe she needs additional years in order to learn how to read cursive.
