On Monday, conservative provocateur Ann Coulter visited Sean Hannity for a plug-her-latest-book sitdown, during which her host tossed out what he no doubt assumed would a typical conservative-colleagues-in-arms softball: Establishment Republicans are at war with the Tea Party base, and Im angry about it! But Coulter slammed it, so to speak, to the opposite field, going on a tear against Newt Gingrich, Todd Akin, Mark Sanford, and Liz Cheney, whom she declared to be hucksters, shysters, and people ripping off the Republican Party for their own self-aggrandizement, for their own egos, to make money.

Ann dates extreme left-wing liberals in New York. She is good for nothing.
Menopause + Medication = a Moderate
Ann Coulter has been a long-term FRiend of Free Republic. She has walked point for conservatives many times. I’ll not turn my back on her.
After her vocal support for Chrispy Creme and Mittens, Ann is dead to me.
Bump!
Who besides Romney was really against amnesty for illegals? I voted Romney for one reason and one reason only, no amnesty. Now it is very likely that this administration will get the amnesty it so very much wants. Hope all are happy with that result (30 million new Rat voters).
I get ticked at her at times and disagree at others, no different than I do with everyone who isn’t me, so I still like her, she was great with her “get drunk and vote for McCain” stuff.
Ann’s never been the same since Mitt told her he wouldn’t leave his wife for her.
Book sales are an excellent indicator of the credibility level of a “conservative” commentator. Conservatives drive non-fiction book sales. Authors like Limbaugh, Levin and Malkin usually hit #1 on the NYT best seller list. Levin is #1 now. Coulter had a couple of previous books hit #1. If her book sales tank it will be a clear indication that she has fallen out of favour with conservatives. Decisions have consequences and her Romney-Christie chickens may be coming home to roost.
Coulter and her ilk are becoming irrelevant each time they open their mouth or write some pap posing as conservative journalism.
Coulter backed Mitt Romney because he had the best shot at winning. He was a former governor.
Coulter is absolutely right when she says that congressmen don’t win the presidency. Businessmen don’t win the presidency. State representatives don’t win the presidency.
Only governors and senators have a chance.
And everyone’s been brainwashed into thinking Romney got landslided. The truth is he came very close to unseating an incumbent president.
Romney was mediocre. But out of the that ragtag gang, he had the BEST SHOT at winning the election.
And Coulter’s new book, btw, is about how Republicans can start winning elections again. Isn’t that what everybody wants?
Why pile on Coulter for pointing out electoral truths?
That works too.
Well said. This is a long fight, George Washington is a good example.
Also worth noting that amnesty for illegals is Ann’s biggest issue and Romney was the best candidate on that issue. So everyone that stayed home is going to be rewarded with 30 million new Democratic voters, good job everyone.
And Newt, the good Newt is far more conservative than Ann....and better at bashing libs than even Ann.....altho the bad Newt is, well, the bad Newt I admit.
Meanwhile, Akin was a self serving joke and a pathetic candidate not sure about Liz v Enzi.
I've seen many comments on FR saying the exact same thing about the Cheney/Enzi race (that she may be more liberal than the incumbent). Akin managed to lose a race that was more-or-less in the bag. I don't know that Ann is that off base with these comments.
I don’t like several of Annie’s recent policy positions, but she is a good book writer. I’m just finishing up Mugged. The research that went into that is quite good.
