According to a Washington Post report Wednesday morning, 59-year-old Janice Baker officially became the first confirmed enrollee in the Delaware Obamacare exchange that opened, as most other exchanges did, on October 1.
Having tried to sign up online and via telephone starting on October 1, and continuing her efforts over the course of more than two weeks, Baker was repeatedly frustrated by error messages online and hours of waiting on the phone. She finally succeeded after deleting all temporary data, browsing history, and cookies on her computer.
According to the report, Delaware Health and Social Service officials were so happy to sign up their first enrollee that they celebrated.

LOL!
The left truly are mentally ill!
Yeah. They already got all that. It was the trying to re-copy it all that messed up the program. A copy of her hard drive now resides with the NSA, just in case she ever votes for a non-Democrat.
This person is mentally ill... spending 2 weeks to register? I’d have s**tcanned the whole thing long before then as unworkable, as would any normal person.
One down, 320 million to go....................
Hooray for Janice. I’d love to see what her co-pays, deductibles, and monthly premiums are. How much of that are other people paying for her?
HEY !!! Everybody celebrate !!!
Delaware has their very own token enrollee...
Hopefully it’s a minority so they can celebrate diversity the next day.
This female has put em on the map
on is all it takes..
no others need apply..
The shame has gone away...
:)
Reformatting her hard drive, reinstalling her operating system, ...
“Though she declined to go into detail about the plan she chose, Baker said she’ll now be paying $700 per month for her health insurance.”
Dumb question...but a simple one:
Who pays the subsidy?
The rat websites are full of ‘success stories’...I just read one where a fellow and his wife got a ‘Gold’ plan, which would normally be $750/month for $450/month, after subsidy.
They are all cheering, of course, because Uncle Sugar is helping to pay for part of it. But has anybody explained exactly where this subsidy comes from?
Does it come from the general fund? Are the medical device tax and tanning tax supposed to cover this? Is money being transferred out of Medicaid?
Its a simple question, with a seemingly simple answer - we pay for it. But how, and where in the budget is all this fairy dust subsidy being accounted for?
What to do? What to do?
In two weeks she’ll discover it was just a phishing scam.
I live in New Castle County, Delaware. Today’s edition of the local newspaper, “The News Journal” has a front page story on this woman (above the fold.) She repeatedly failed to get through on the computer, then tried signing up over the phone. She spent hours waiting on hold on the phone, only to be told by two different representatives that they couldn’t help her because their computers had locked up. The tone of the story, however, makes it sound as thoufgh this is a brilliant success!
All Prols are ordered to joyously celebrate this great success of National Socialism!!!
Failure to celebrate will be monitored by the NAS, and you know what that means.
They are like salmon, mindlessly swimming upstream.
Yay socialism!
no gubmint program is ever a failure.
it just ‘underperforms’ due to being ‘underfunded’.
... So ... did the President declare today a new National holiday?
