A crowd of demonstrators converge upon U.S. government property closed to the public. The demonstrators know that they are prohibited from entering the property. Nonetheless, they push through the metal barricades, chanting, Tear down these walls.
That incident occurred yesterday at the World War II Memorial on the National Mall.
Not confining their protest to the World War II Memorial, some of the protesters then picked up the governments metal barricades and carried them blocks away to the White House, where the barricades were deposited outside the gates.
Television recorded police struggling to keep the protesters away from the White House fence. No arrests were made.
Now, lets see if I have this straight: If a group of people decide they dont like the closing of facilities under the federal government shutdown, they are now empowered to take wire cutters to the locks, push aside barriers and go in and about on their merry way without fear of arrest?

WashPosties agitating for veteran arrests? Figures...
No particular reason why we should fear our government more than our sworn enemies do, I guess?
Bump
Let’s start at the top, here Posties....
Where are the 8 million illegal immigrant arrests????
Answer that and we’ll discuss a few rowdy vets
- The Establishment.
The WaPo can’t tell the difference between an enclosed building or zoo and an open air memorial to WWII and Viet Nam Veterans? Nobody breached any building(s). They just went into open air areas that cost more to close and put up fences than to keep open.
The Obamatollah Regime was manufactured by optics.
Thus, ‘non optimal’ optics can collapse the Regime. For example, arresting war heroes while ARMING AL-QAEDA and covering up the abandonment of 36 Americans at BENGHAZI.
In the end, Marxists are cowards. That’s why their regimes cannot survive determined opposition.
As for the Islamist component of the Obamatollah Regime, if moslems were intelligent the entire Middle East wouldn’t be stuck in the 7th Century.
...where was this ColBERT when this was going on?
Didn’t WaPo cheer on the Occupoopers?
Freep U Colbert King
I confess.
I gave them permission.
Yes. Because the Executive Order is unavailable to them.
I guess liberals don't think civil disobedience is so noble anymore.
This guy is a flaming commie...his previous nonsensical, hysterical column compared the TEA Party to the Confederacy.
This liberal reporter apparently wanted to see some conservative skulls cracked. That is what we have come to and I say “we” because, if the tables were turned, I’d feel the same way. (Although the wanton destruction of property the author was intending to highlight bears no resemblance to leftist anarchism)
Now, lets see if I have this straight: If a group of alien invaders decide they dont like the closing of a national border, they are now empowered to push aside barriers and go in and about on their merry way without fear of arrest, while gathering benefits formerly reserved for citizens of the invaded nation?
-——WashPosties agitating for veteran arrests?-—
I would argue the writer is calling the President a coward.
He won’t face up to Iran. He Want face up to the vets.
Obama is a pacifist coward
Go to Hell Colby!
The arrests were because a few grandstanding lefties - including a couple of Congressmen - sat down in the middle of the street and blocked the road.
But what I really think somewhere in the back of their reptilian skulls is a faint voice saying "oh s**t....."
