Springhill Police Chief Will Lynd confirms they were called in to help the employees at Walmart because there were so many people clearing off the shelves. He says Walmart was so packed, It was worse than any black Friday that hes ever seen.
Lynd explained the cards werent showing limits and they called corporate Walmart, whose spokesman said to let the people use the cards anyway. From 7 to 9 p.m., people were loading up their carts, but when the cards began showing limits again around 9, one woman was detained because she rang up a bill of $700.00 and only had .49 on her card. She was held by police until corporate Walmart said they wouldnt press charges if she left the food.

Good article. Sooner or later the price of “free corn” is your life and that of your progeny.
silly me, I forgot.
Yep, been watching for a couple of days now and wondering if you had noticed. ;)
States are not “blue” or “red”. There are “blue” and “red” areas within each state.
I think more of The Twilight Zone episode, called "The Shelter."
What is DE?
Diatomaceous Earth.

Sprinkled, judiciously, and in a manner not to allow the pet or human to inhale it will keep insects away.
I use it on my garden too.
I’ll have to watch that one. TZ came out some years before I was a gleam in my parents eye, and once in awhile I’d watch it on reruns, but it scared me as a kid, hence, I haven’t watch too many of them.
Thanks for the suggestion!
yep
wonder if those mud holes out there are bubbling?
Thanks. My daughter has talked about Diatomaceous Earth, but I didn’t recognize the acronym.
I can’t speak highly enough about it. Using a small portion of it has saved us lots of money is ‘ant ridden’ dog food this summer. I’ve only had to throw it out twice. A far cry from the usual amount of ant-eaten dogfood.
Dollartree has that for a buck for 5 lbs or so. Pure DE sold as their cat litter.
I used to buy DE for bugs from online (16 years ago or so) and it was pretty expensive to buy and ship.
My mail lady has mine trained, she brings them each a huuuggge “puppy cookie” everytime she comes, and one extra “just in case”, lol. They love her!
Mine are spoiled to the extent that they’re used to me (stay at home homemaker) being here all the time with them. All they want to do is hang with me. When my husband leaves on business, they take it in stride (except that his special “baby” sulks a bit then starts sucking up to me), but they have a fit when I have to run errands. My mother will be down this week to visit and she’s not a dog person at all, but she warms up to them after a day or so :) They’re all really just big babies except my one smaller one, a Jack Russell. I don’t know what his early life was like, but he’s one feisty little neurotic and possessive terror! He tries to keep my husband from coming near me, lol! I’ve had him for years and can’t change his behavior. Oh well, he’d be the first one to chew a leg off if someone tried to break into my home while my husband’s away. I worry more about them getting hurt, than protecting me, I have a trusty “equalizer” for that.
I apologise to all for all the off-topicness, ‘fraid I do that when it comes to my dogs!
If you use it around food or pets, make sure it’s food grade. Not all of it is.
I’ll have to investigate the stuff at Dollar Tree now :) Shuckeydarn. I hate dollar tree trips /s
I love Jack Russells. Hubby has forbidden them though LOL. Way too overactive for him.
Our doggie is part English Shepard, part German Shepard and we think part cur. She’s got spots in places. She’s 65-70lbs now. She’s got nice pointey German Shepard ears too. And she herds me to the food bowl.
Very Good Point! That probably why the stuff I used to buy (for pest control outside) when my kids were little was so expensive. I was buying the food grade. Since I have “custody” (lol) of my girls rescue cats, I sometimes have to buy the cat litter (DE) at Dollar Tree. They sell a lot of it. Used to just put the pallet out in a large aisle rather than stocking it on the shelf. Then some Dollar Tree management person deemed it unsightly and you have to ask at the register for someone to go get it in the back.
Jack Russells are hyper. I have two pugs. Crazy hyper.
obamaphones
Also watch for changes in SO2 emissions, especially in well water and spillways, or changes in water PH as well as increased bubbling of the mud holes. You’ll be able to smell the increase in SO2 (sulfur/bad egg smell) when taking a shower, washing cloths, and etc., unless your water is filtered. The Jebel Zubair volcano just erupted in the Red Sea. That makes the 79th volcanic eruption around the world for this year with 2-1/2 months to go, and 4 more than for all of last year - a record year itself (all unofficially). :)
