Sunday’s rally at the WWII memorial in Washington, D.C., which was headlined by former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, has broken out in utter chaos, as both D.C. Metro and Park police attempted to shut down the event.
According to one of the Shark Tank’s correspondent on the ground, ‘Special K,’ two police cruiser blocked entrance into WWII memorial, in an effort to stop truckers from arriving from the highway.
Four marked Secret Service vehicles had arrived on the scene, joining dozens of law enforcement assets, who had already arrived, including a SWAT team dressing in full riot gear.
Prior to SWAT arriving, the crowd was chanting “move those cars, move those cars,” which was possibly the reason why riot control was called in.
Police blocked the road leading up to the WWII memorial from both directions, and had also detained, questioned, and subsequently released, a man dressed in full Muslim dress.
Sarah Palin, along with a few hundred of her closest friends, including Senators Ted Cruz and Mike Lee, headed over to the Lincoln memorial, and busted down Obama’s barricades. Palin also engaged police, presumably to thank them for their service.

I assume it is pretty obvious that the only amounts the CR can be made for are the "resolution" amounts of the previous budget? The house has previously passed budgets properly funding defense and cutting things that should be cut and the Dem Senate has never taken them up

Lets see how the media treats the event, like you say, today, and the rest of the week...
I am imagining that it will get very little play, as the big news and pressure the media has to exert on the politicians will be to get the republicans to cave and give away ALL their leverage to the president and his destructive agenda...
If they do cave, I see this as a serious indicator that the ties that bind this country together will be strained to the breaking point, and all that will remain to complete that destruction will be some tragic event that will ripple through the population and that will be that...

The problem is that the House, nor the Senate (or our illustrious President for that matter) didn't fund defense. It has been cut to fund the welfare state.
SWAT teams and secret service. My guess is they were trying to provoke the normal people. Someone shaking a finger at an agent would be enough. Then the activity starts, and is all blamed on the normal people.
They were wrong. The normal people acted like civilized people.
My guess is the marxists in DC are on edge. They are really worried that the normal folks are going to challenge their stranglehold on power. The marxists are ready to use all the force that they have at their disposal.
The normal people just want to make a point. Normal people are not violent maniacs.

I wish the politicians had stayed the hell away. The veterans march/protest was about the vets, NOT ANY STINKING POLITICIANS TRYING TO GRAB THE SPOTLIGHT AWAY FROM THE VETS!!! The hell with Palin.
