Attorney Benjamin Crump said he wants to bring national attention to Georgia after the death of 17-year-old Kendrick Johnson.
Crump is no stranger to the national spotlight. He represented Trayvon Martin's family and helped pushed for prosecution in that case.
A jury exonerated neighborhood watch George Zimmerman.
Crump is now representing Johnson's family.
The teen was found dead in his high school gym in January. His body was stuck upside down in a rolled-up wrestling mat.
Investigators with Lowndes County Sheriff's Office ruled his death accidental.
Today Crump joined Johnson's parents outside the Superior Courthouse in Lowndes County.
He called the death a murder and suggested calling it accidental is an insult to Johnson's family.
"It flies in the face of all common sense. So I stand here with Attorney King, proclaiming that we will solve this murder-mystery. We will get to the truth," said Crump.
In June, Johnson's parents were granted a court order to have his body exhumed for a second, independent autopsy.
"Kendrick was the light of the family. They didn't give my son any justice," said Kenneth Johnson.
Kenneth Johnson said he and his wife were horrified to learn their son's internal organs had been removed and his body was stuffed with newspapers.
"We have been let down again and when we buried Kendrick, we thought we were burying Kendrick, not half of Kendrick," said Johnson.

And had George been hung out to dry this kid would still have his internal organs.
What’s wrong with giving him some reading materials while he is on a long trip to hell?
This is what happens when people get their ideas of forensic work from TV. Of course the organs are missing! That’s what happens in an autopsy! The brain is gone too, all sectioned up in thin little slices.
This is just horribly written. No telling what happened.
Sucks to be stuffed with the MSM.
So, will they be indicting Zimmerman for this one, too ?
Maybe the Johnson’s don’t read cursive.
I was interested in the story. I clicked on it and read to where it was stated that Crump was involved. I lost interest at that point and clicked off.
I have to agree with that POS Crump....though the article is short on details being found dead in a rolled up gym mat does not sound like a accidental death ....
My understanding is that it’s a wrestling technique to cause the body to excrete water to bring the weight down shortly before a wrestling match. Unless it can be shown otherwise, this is the most likely explanation.
Having said that, if that’s all it is, it is certainly a case of negligence or accidental homicide and whomever is responsible should be brought up on charges.
No. They take samples not the entire organ. They place the organs in the body then sew the body up. This is highly unusual if true.
Oh, my. That doesn't sound safe at all.
Dropping into a lower weight class gives you a strength advantage over somebody who naturally belongs to that class. With proper supervision, it’s not that dangerous.
I pray it wasn’t the Washington Post. Nobody deserves that.
Attack, of the rolled up wrestling mats from ...OUTTER SPACE!
That makes sense...someone helped to roll him up...that person is responsible...

So, now in October, they need a lawyer? Crump must have convinced em that there’s big money out there, millions from the school system.
Aint got no time for that. Too busy practicing hungry hungry hippos, waiting for the rasis party prize patrol.
LOL!
