Folks who live in the Great Smoky Mountains have just about reached their breaking point with the federal government.
Its almost like they are pushing to see how far they can push before the American people say enough is enough, said Ed Mitchell, the mayor of Blount County, Tenn. We were founded on a declaration of independence. And they are about to push the people to the line again.
Nearly a third of Blount County is inside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. So when the federal government shut down the park, it also shut down one of the areas chief sources of revenue.
The National Park Service also closed the Foothills Parkway, a major thoroughfare in the county. The closure came without warning and left the local school district scrambling to get children back to their homes.

Interstates next? Sumpun’s gonna happen before this is all over.
Good luck on the interstate thing since the states basically manage and repair those roads. That would bring shipping to a standstill.
Of course the Smoky Mountains sounds like a great down-home back-country range of the Southern Appalachians. But then you visit and are welcomed to a “United Nations Biosphere” via expensive signs and markers. There was money enough for that travesty.
He's right - the pushing's intentional. But when the American people say, 'enough' they're going to get the second lesson - that they're powerless. It's gettin' ugly.
Zero is pushing and pushing trying to get the people to respond with armed resistance so he can declare martial law and really crack down.
My money is on a GOP surrender.
..... Even though we have had governmental shutdowns in the past with little or no repercussions ...... This Administration is attempting to purposely magnify and exaggerate the effects this particular Government shutdown in an attempt to put on display for the masses ....... What a world without the loving guidance and control that our compassionate blessed government, under the command of our dear leader, would look like and feel like if the GOP should ever again get back into power.
Sheikdetail - have you read this Greenfield piece? You’ll love it:
“There are few moments that sum up the meanness of spirit of the Obama Blockade as well as a park ranger angrily telling senior citizens to get back on the bus and stop taking photos because they are engaging in forbidden recreating.”

Say? Is that the verb that follows all this pushing?
It’s every liberal’s dream to use the power of the state to punish and exterminate those who resist their “superiority”.
Nothing is happening. So far 0dumb0shite & his corrupt band of thugs & mini-tyrants have been pushing & erecting barriers & showing up with armed guards.....and nothing is being done or said to fight back. If the governors in these states or even the local county sheriffs aren't willing to resist & fight back, 0dumb0's armed thugs will steamroll over & arrest any of the isolated attempts to fight back. We are being screwed everyday with acts of oppression & thuggery, and nothing is being done to push back or resist on a mass level.
Where is Lamar! Haven’t heard a peep out of that would-be liberal
Does this make the issues of government agencies buying billions of rounds of ammunition combined with efforts to take law abiding citizen’s guns away from them any clearer focus?
